I love Star Fax 64 for the Gamecube! It's much better than Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64.

The GameCube controller also helped it a lot than that weird alien-y "\|/" 64 controller.

No steelbook case? $60 price?

I'm not too bothered about the steelbook case or Project Guar-- I mean, Star Fox Guard. It looks like a budget eShop game reskinned as a Star Fox game.

Sometimes they advertise steel books for games a few weeks before launch (it's also going to be $70-75 here). Guard seems like a decent diversion, but it's hardly essential as you said. The key is Star Fox Zero and it's multiple branching and singe session play through gameplay.

More proof that people will ***** about absolutely anything. Miyamoto added an invincibility mode and people, of course, lost their shit.

I've been watching more videos and from what I've seen at least, the motion aiming isn't too bad (at least from one particular video I saw). It seemed more like the Gamepad was tilted slightly to aim and not held up at your face and spun around like I had thoughts of. Can anybody confirm?

Yeah, absolutely silly.
It's optional. And it's Nintendo's way of helping out less skilled players. Without doing something like that, there would simply be no way of them making for example Donkey Kong Country Returns so difficult. Other companies dumb whole games down to appeal to a larger market and THAT is actually a major problem.

In the same tweet Miyamoto even mentioned another mode, that is actually more difficult.

So much like in Mario 3D World. Big deal.
