Barnes & Noble has a bonus disc containing "The Final Step," a 25.51 minute behind-the-scenes feature on the post-production of Game of Thrones. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Game-...lu-ray/150475/

Wal-Mart has a bonus disc with the Visual Effects of Season 5 at 25:36 minutes. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Game-...lu-ray/152186/

Target has The Massacre at Hardhome (28.00) https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Game-...lu-ray/147476/

Or, Amazon UK has one exclusive which rules them all, with all 3 (not to be confused with their regular release): https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Game-...lu-ray/148393/

Funny some people were bashing the new look of the slips but the Best Buy Bolton slip looks better now than just the clear plastic slip on the regular version IMO

Meanwhile, the books vs. show already seem increasingly divergent. As Martin posted in early January http://grrm.livejournal.com/465247.html there are over a dozen characters dead in the show, but still alive in the books
[Show spoiler]Mago, Irri, Rakharo, Xaro Xhoan Daxos, Pyat Pree, Pyp, Grenn, Ser Barristan Selmy, Queen Selyse, Princess Shireen, Princess Myrcella, Mance Rayder, and King Stannis
. Some will die, others will die in different ways, and others will never die.

Another character is alive in the show, but dead in the books. However, it might be tough to kill him as he's currently filling the role of 3 book characters. There are dozens of book characters never introduced, some rather important, including one whose absence dramatically affected another character who was never supposed to go through some major events in the show.

I'm sure that the next season will be even more divergent, but I'd call it the acceleration of a break that began in Season 1, but has become increasingly pronounced as some characters were never introduced to fill what became, in some cases, very large plot roles.

Thanks for compiling that all for us. The bonus discs have been crazy for this show. I'm going to try to get the UK bonus disc secondhand like I did with season 4, but I'll likely opt for the Massacre at Hardhome at Target when I buy the set in case that doesn't work out. Last year's "Planning a Royal Wedding" was easily the best bonus disc from last year, so I expect Hardhome will be this time around, but I have to admit "The Final Step" has my curiosity. Anyone watch any of these features yet?

You’re right. I also made a comment regarding Amazon’s inaccurate description a while back:

Amazon needs to work on getting their product details accurate (not only for blu-rays but for a whole slew of other consumer goods as well) since many customers rely/base their buying decisions on the available information listed on their product pages.

Back on topic: I’m waiting for my UK import- I have just received a dispatch notice so it will take a week or so before mine arrives

I admit I wasn't blown wasn't by it, at first, but was always going to get it.
Now, with these nice in-hand pics, I feel so much better about it.
I'm still amazed BB and HBO have stuck with these slips for so long.

I'm still partial to the regular cover. I prefer the Tyrion/Drogon image, and I love the sigil border (which resembles the Season One slipcover).

Hello all,

Apologies if this has already been answered, but does anyone know if the Target exclusive "Hardhome" feature is on a disc or if it is downloadable? I was all set to purchase the Target version of The Force Awakens but changed my mind when I learned their bonus material will be digital only. Thanks!

All GoT exclusive extras have been on a separate BD disc. We don't have absolute confirmation yet, but I see no reason why this would be any different.

Edit: Speaking of the Target exclusive, the product page on Target.com has a video clip of the feature up:
