And I sure am, I have work in the morning but I don't wanna miss this game. I dunno how to feel, even without Benitez I didn't expect an easy game. Leicester find it hard to switch it on against "smaller" clubs and with Newcastle's back against the wall and games running out, I knew there'd be a fight – maybe literally given their regulatory for reds and yellows – but now flying under new manager syndrome with a manager of that calibre in their corner? I feel like we might lose this, not in some big dramatic way, but I can see a 2 - 1 loss or something like that.

Maybe I was wrong then, Leicester have become such a well oiled machine that even with all of Newcastle's intensity if they can't play as a team they haven't got a chance against us.

I was surprised how much possession Leicester conceded to Newcastle. Especially considering the barcode's poor defence. However, Leicester work so hard for their points and the spirit is excellent. They kept their shape reasonably well also.

Maybe not the BEST PERFORMANCE EVAR but it's another priceless win. Take it and move on, Pizza. Still, play like that and you'll bang a cricket score past Palace, we can't hold on to the ball nearly as well as Newcastle did tonight.

As for us, we got Watford in the FA Cup semi which is an absolutely brilliant result. It's not nailed on or anything, but I think both us and Watford were hoping to avoid Everton and one of West Ham or Man U so it's worked out nicely.

Yeah, not a performance we'll want to review over and over again – although it was Okazaki's first legitimate goal and at home no less – but it's all about the points at this point. I don't care how we do it, we've just gotta get all three.

They still looked like the Harlem Globetrotters compared to the panicked hoofball that Palace play, my lot treat the ball like an unexploded bomb! GET RID OF IT!!!

There was one bit during the second half last night where Leicester picked up the ball on the left side of defence and within the space of a few seconds it had been worked to Mahrez over on the right wing thanks to a succession of crisp, confident passes and it was just beautiful to watch.

Sure, they got nervier the longer the game went on but they ran down the clock superbly at the end, if you do win it then Ranieri's defensive steel will have done just as much as the prodigious attacking prowess of Vardy and Mahrez.
