This is not normally the genre of movie I go to see, but it kept my interest and I enjoyed the mostly grim story and the monsters. Tim Burton doesn't hold back on scary looking creatures even though this movie is geared for younger audiences. The 3D was good also, medium range 3D layers.

Saw it again at Paragon Odyssey. Great size screen for an older film, and leather reclining seats, but the picture was lackluster. The screen was very dark and was like on "game mode" on hdtv or something. If it was my first time seeing it I'd probably be disappointed.

Not really, the book even had a review that said the same thing but I never felt it was comparable. When you see the movie or read the book it thankfully doesn't follow the same footsteps as Potter also. With Burton behind it I'm rather eager to see it. I thought the book was good, nothing spectacular or great, but so far I like what I'm seeing in the trailer. As I said above, even with the changes already noticed in the trailer from the book, I like them.
If they include the same amount of Peregrine as in the book, she's very much a secondary character. Jacob and Emma are the leads and will carry most of the screen time.

I wasn't even aware it's from a book. This trailer is the first time I've even heard of it. Good news her role is minimal, really can't stand her, shocking actress. I love the look of it, very Big Fish.

Why DO we all seem to be in consensus about Eva Green's beauty? Very very few actresses get absolute agreement about their looks being stunning, but I've never heard anyone say she wasn't an absolute knockout. She seems to "do it" for everyone personally as opposed to those who say "Eh, she's pretty, but not my fave."

I think some crazy person said a while back her face is too " weirdly European " for their tastes

She's a perfect looking woman to me though and looks nothing like those disturbingly young females who look even younger than their age so many here dedicate popular "appreciation" threads to. I like a woman to look like a woman . and Eva is damn sexy . hope she continues getting Lead film roles .
Shed be a great Talia for a future Batman film and I'd like to see her in a smart R rated romantic comedy.
