I want to double dip just because these new slips look fantastic. Especially Pocahontas. But, if there's nothing new to offer on the discs themselves, I really have to ask myself - do I reeeeallllyyyy need them?

Yea I remember you saying you liked having your Disney movies with slips before . While I would like them with slips not all of mine have them & for some like Atlantis there was no way I was paying what some people wanted for a copy with a slip .

Ya I did that for snow white. Bought it for 17 mostly for the digital copy. I then used the digital copy and sold the blu ray for around 17 to 20 lol. idk how well that works out for Disney but it works for me I suppose. I may rebuy it for 10$ on black friday if I can but I don't really care either way as i have the diamond edition.

The majority of the Disney releases I have simply skipped if they did not include a digital copy. So if they want to re release movies but with digital copies that would work for me. I would prefer Disney found some way to let me spend dmr points for digital copies of movies that came without digital copies as then I would probably buy a lot more bds but this will get the job done eventually I guess.

Haha I'm so anal when it comes to having them in slips. It's why I import all mine from America - because the Australian editions never come with slips (the only exceptions being the very first release of Snow White and quite randomly, the second Tinkerbell movie).

My first handful of animated titles I bought in Australia, back when Disney used to region-lock all their titles.
But by the time Fantasia rolled around, and it was unlocked, I bought it from Amazon considering there wasn't a release planned for Australia. When I got it I astounded at the incredible slip on it - so I did some research and found out that all the others had slips too!!

I must have ended up spending over $100 just to buy slips individually for Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo and Pinocchio... Guess that wouldn't make double dipping on Pocahontas and Mulan seem so bad...So I decided from then on all my Disney discs would be from the US only.

And luckily, because I recon Australia has only released about 50% of the titles available in the US (though we did get Aladdin and 101 Dalmatians about 5 years early and the Jungle Book about 6 months early).

So anyway. Yes, slipcovers, slipcovers, slipcovers! I'm a manic. I guess I'm just lucky I started collecting right from the beginning.

Yea its good to get in early if that's the case. I also notice Disney slips disappear real fast. Ive been to few stores already that have all the Aladdin BDs already without slips.

I give the digital copies to my dad for his tablet. So for me they come in handy in that sense.

Fox already did this crap with their DreamWorks and Blue Sky titles. It's stupid IMO.

Sounds like the Australians aren't big on waste and redundancy. Good for them!

Yes they do!!! Amazon tends to sell out within a few weeks on the more popular titles, which makes it even more annoying because I always end up having to pay full price on release day

Oh, I'm the same way because every BD in the main line of films has a slipcover on the shelf except Dinosaur because it never had one. It irks me everytime I see it, so hopefully they do release everything again for Digital HD copies just so I can get a slip for that film.

Uurgghh, that Dinosaur disc annoys me so much. It really sticks out like a sore thumb!

I thought a missed opportunity was to re release Dinosaur on bluray when Pixar's The Good Dinosaur was in theaters.

ALSO.....can we all hope and assume that The Black Cauldron will be getting a blu ray release around the release of this film?

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/ch...ey-1201733058/

Let's all keep our fingers crossed AND the package films and a Dinosaur re release as well. OH DISNEY HERE US NOW!!!!

Wasn't a Black Cauldron release announced a year or two ago and then it was indefinitely delayed? I swear I even saw cover art on a reputable site.

Would love to see a Blu release ASAP!

Unfortunately never announced. The Disney Wiki trying touting "release dates" over the course of the year - changing it when the date came and no release happened.

There was never any official cover art, but there was a good custom floating around that someone had made from the UK DVD art.

There was a real Saludos Amigos / Three Caballeros blu art floating around, but the release was never announced.

Fingers crossed for both or atleast one of these titles this year.

God! I do hope so!! If they follow current trends then it would only make sense.

I agreeee. So, so many requests that keep falling on deaf ears by Disney. The demand for these titles is huge

I'd rather sea the 'valley of the golden seals' feature instead....
