LOL...you really think kids are MORE messed up in the USA than anywhere else? Come on now, let's not throw reason out the window. We watch the same movies, we play the same games, and parenting styles are very similar. You're only thinking Australian kids are 'normal' because you don't pay attention to their news. We're not talking about an extreme difference in societies here they're essentially the same. Which means you have the same types of problems because the underlining issues which cause those problems are all present.

And no, I'm not blaming the media or games or anything like that, but I'm not excusing the role they play either. Children are not taught to break into a place and kill animals (or anything) without something sparking the idea in thier mind. A bad-wired kid is a bad-wired kid, but having access to a medium which appeals to the short-circuit and gives it a charge will result in output which is less than desirable.
