Most recently, Twilight Time have said that there would not be a sale this month, but that's not to say there wouldn't be one in future. This could easily mean an April sale (or not).

Don't know what to do.
I'd regret it if I purchase it and next day the sale is announced including this.
Usually titles that are low quantity, are not included in the sale, they tend to be titles with lots of stock left.

I would be plain stupid not to include any film that has 500 stock or more.

It looks like the remaster of Journey to the Center of the Earth is sold out... I'm still surprised it took so long to go

well, not many people double-dip for a remaster.

We don't all have the same taste, and after 8000 copies, I'd say fans of the film, who happen to still buy physical media...on Blu ray, have been satisfied.

The day Christine sold out did surprise me ! 2,999 people agreed with me ??? I couldn't get anyone in my life to agree with that one, other than my son !

Never know what the public wants.

I think the average customer goes on-line, usually to Amazon these days and if they don't see a title listed there, they may just give up, never imagining perhaps there are such niche labels as Twilight Time where one can get some of these movies on Blu-ray.

80s horror sells!
That's why we have loads of horror movies released on BLuray (even B and C and D movies ) instead of great old classics.
Unfortunately, it's not a good time to not be a horror fan.

I sold the first one on eBay and made enough to buy the second release with cash left over. I did the same with Mysterious Island.

Yeah, not many people would do that either.
Most people just want casually to see a movie.
Not buying, reselling and go to all that trouble..

Why on Earth would you say that? While it's true that cult horror films seem to dominate the world of Blu-ray, and other categories get short shrift, there are still more than enough other things being released to satisfy.

I'm not a post-1970 horror fan in general, and there are more than a thousand titles from other genres/categories I would buy tomorrow if I had the money. And that's not even counting what I would order from other countries if I was region-free.

Now granted, I'm largely a fan of American classic films of the 20s through the 60s, and there aren't enough of those being released, but my interests are varied enough that I can happily keep adding to my collection without buying a single horror title.

because of this.

No, i wouldn't say that enough old classics are released on BLuray compared to horror B-movies.
We're still missing tons of movies -and I'm not talking about just average movies noone has ever heard of - I'm talking about classics with Errol Flynn, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Fred Astaire-Rogers musicals etc..

For every one such classic released on BLuray, there are 10 horror BLurays released.

edit: from these old actors only John Wayne is well represented on Bluray and i guess it's because he starred in a lot of westerns which is another popular genre.

I think they should not let so many copies being sold to one person at a time.

That's true, and I'm not arguing otherwise.

If you had said "It's a bad time to be a fan of films from Golden Age of Hollywood", that would be one thing. But what you said was "It's not a good time to not be a horror fan." "Not being a horror fan" doesn't limit one to only being a fan of Vintage Hollywood. You can be a fan of crime films, action films, westerns, science fiction, fantasy, romances, animation, period dramas, frat-boy comedies, foreign films, and so on, and have plenty of Blu-ray releases to feed your interests without having to buy a single horror film.

Hell, Twilight Time alone has released just under 200 Blu-rays, and maybe only 15 of them really qualify as horror. Criterion has released something on the order of 500 films on Blu-ray, and, at most, about 20 might qualify as horror. At a stretch (I'm including things like Godzilla, which I wouldn't classify as horror, for example). Even in the case of Kino, which has released its own share of horror via all of their Mario Bava Collection titles and the Redemption line, horror is a relatively small percentage of their Blu-ray output.
