Oh most definitely! When a Stranger Calls... Back! is so good. Honestly, one of the best made-for-tv horror movies of all time. So creepy, and IMO even better than the first film. I'd quite honestly kill for it to make it to blu-ray.

Does anyone know of anymore high-profile Universal TV movies? It's a real shame Scream apparently can't do double features of Universal titles (otherwise surely Werewolf and Sssssss would have been paired). I'd feel more confident about certain things getting a release then. But that said, this current deal is offering some relative obscure fare.

Furthermore, I don't know how much of the pre-90s titles they'd be interested in (Burned at the Stake would be nice to see, given it was never released on DVD). I've left off Psycho IV, since Cliff basically confirmed this (it might still come in July). I've also left out the titles previously released by Universal which might get Collector Edition upgrades.

Brides of Dracula (1960)
Curse of the Werewolf (1961)
Night Creatures/Captain Clegg (1962)
Phantom of the Opera (1962)
Kiss of the Vampire (1963)
Paranoiac (1963)
Evil of Frankenstein (1964)
Nightmare (1964)

The Night Walker (1964)
Dark Intruder (1965)
Island of Terror (1966)
Let's Kill Uncle (1966)
Games (1967)
The Projected Man (1967)
Eye of the Cat (1969)

Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970)
Burned at the Stake (AKA The Coming) (1981)
Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn (1983)
No Escape (1994)
Tales from the Hood (1995)
Psycho (1998)
Virus (1999)

Session 9 (2001)
Long Time Dead (2002)
My Little Eye (2002)
The Hitcher 2 (2003)
Cry Wolf (2005)
Altered (2006)
The Hitcher (2007)
Whisper (2007)

Then there are the titles which are apparently out of Scream's reach, perhaps permanently, perhaps until Universal release them first. That said, things might change on this front, especially in regard to something like Slither:

Jaws 2 (1978)
Jaws 3-D (1983)
Jaws: The Revenge (1987)
The 'Burbs (1989)
Matinee (1993)
Serial Mom (1994)
Slither (2006)

Then there are also some high-profile TV movies (there are surely more than this, but realistically, how many can we expect them to release?):

Killdozer(1974) (TV)
Buried Alive (1990) (TV)
I'm Dangerous Tonight (1990) (TV)
When A Stranger Calls Back (1993) (TV)
Add Terror Tract (2000) to that list.

The Companion (1994)

Oh, MAN, No Escape (1994). I'd pay top dollar for a nice collector's edition of that. Also, has John Carpenter's 'The Thing' been shot down yet? It seems to have all the marks of a Scream Factory release (Universal release, inferior blu already on market, John Carpenter, bonus features on a DVD that never made the translation to blu, John Carpenter, early 1980s horror, John Carpenter)

Default Slumber Party II/III

Picked up Scream's blu of Slumber Party Massacre yesterday, and it got me wondering (and, apologies if this has been addressed/shot down before), would they ever be open to doing maybe a double feature release of II & III? Especially since Shout did that DVD trilogy set a few years back?

They've said no a bunch of times in the past. I keep hoping they'll change their mind though.

C'mon Cliff, make it happen!

The line's popularity is strong, but as titles continue to dwindle, they will be forced to reconsider some titles (Howling II, Psycho IV).

@CMAC,

I imagine this...all the John Carpenter / Wes Craven / Tobe Hooper films released by Shout with steelbooks featuring the original art on the front panel and the shout commissioned art on the back panel, full gloss!!! oooh, they would look beautiful.

Just day dreaming here.

I hope Paramount, New Line, Warner or Scream Factory will eventually release Friday the 13th Part 2 and Nightmare on Elm Street 2-6 with audio commentaries.

No one, WB didn't release it because they don't do unrated stuff any more, so unless someone can get it from them the old new line DVD is the onny way to get it.

Very sad indeed. I have no hope for a uncut release of TCM3 ether.

Anyone heard about 1981s Road Games with Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis? The Aussie horror film. I wonder who has rights to it? It like so many others was released by Anchor Bay on DVD

It's a StudioCanal title, and the US rights were probably transferred to Lionsgate when Anchor Bay's rights expired.

Waiting to see if there is any last minute title announced tomorrow, or I'm using my March Madness coupon to pre-order a bunch of stuff.

Me too...was hoping we'd get a Return of the Living Dead announcement before the sale was over...
