at least maybe the movies wouldn't be one hour too long if burton was behind the camera.

for the record, loved the first one, thought the 2nd and 3rd were incredibly fun but overly long. plus, while i do like gore as a director, if they are going in a new direction with pirates 4 it might help to have a new director. but tim burton? ehhhhhhhh

As much as I love Burton... I hardly see his stlye blending in Pirates world... but who knows?

i second the previous opininons about no burton. but that's because he's a joke and i can't stand his movies, with the exception of big fish.

on the other hand, it's not like after the sequels the franchise can get any worse.

Too many people are already disgusted with the 3rd movie, stop trying to jump the shark. We already have Superman IV: The quest for peace. Haven't we learned from that?

Tim Burton has a great imagfination, but he's too damn quirky for anything like Pirates. I hated most of his take on the 2 Batman movies he did and fear he would just make Pirates too 'wacky'.
