Thank goodness Canal+ or Lionsgate or whoever the hell has the tight grip on this and many other great films doesn't have worldwide rights. Hey, Simon, any chance of another great Aussie cult flick, Dead End Drive-In, getting a 4K resto thru Umbrella?

Nice. Since Synapse's release fell through here in the states, I would love to see an upgrade of Dark Age follow.

Will the rating logo be a sticker on the shrink wrap, or printed onto the artwork? If it's printed on the artwork, could you make a reversible cover with the same artwork but no rating logo?

Not familiar with this, but of course given the premise & Jamie Lee Curtis, this will be an EASY day 1 import!

Seriously chuffed about this. This is one of maybe two Aussie films that shares some similarity (probably through an Italian 2nd cousin) to the giallo. Richard Franklin never did better then this (not saying his other films are rubbish, I particularly like Psycho 2 but this the pinnacle of this filmography)

Excellent news!! Have tried getting one of the previous DVDs but they're always too pricey for me. I never buy foreign releases but since this seems unlikely to come out in the US anytime soon and because I'm a big fan of Jamie Lee's Scream Queen era, I just may have to make this my first import Blu-ray.

Great news indeed, been wanting this for ages.....so in the space of a week I'll be swapping out Road Games, Jaws2, Jaws3D from my ever dwindling DVD collection

I've been hoping they just start releasing every title with a removable sticker ratings logo in Australia like Umbrella's Night of the Living Dead Blu. It seems a lot more practical for someone who collects Blu ray's and doesn't want to be bombarded with ratings info every time they look at the cover art.

I dont think they have the facilities (nor the resources) to do it so someone else must be.

Therefore, they are making a 4K master. I know, it seems improbable, but they are doing it!
Now that I think about that, I've got a question for Umbrella. What materials are you guys using for this release? Original Camera Negative? Interpositive/negative? Release Print? Or a mixture?

So damn happy right now! Great movie.

Here's a flashback post from 4 years ago:

How about some blu-ray love for Road Games? Think it'll ever happen?

Will this have the commentary and Kangaroo Hitchcock doc? Just want to be sure before I trade my DVD off in anticipation?
