I've stuck with my "Home Alone: Complete Caper Collection" on DVD. Although 3 & 4 are horrible I love my complete series box sets! 1 and 2 are some of my all time favorite movies but nothing I feel that I "need" to replace on Blu as of yet. Perhaps if I find them for $5.00 some day.

Home Alone 2 DVD is not enhanced for widescreen TVs. So the picture will be shrinked when viewed on an HDTV. I'd definitely wait before getting this. This is a movie-only BD and it costs $25. Way overpriced, IMHO.

So, Canadians... Best Buy has this on sale for $14.99. I should have grabbed it yesterday but wasn't sure if it was 1 or 2 that I bought last year. Both movies were available for this price on the rack near the check-out (Brampton).

I'm gonna probably go back today or tomorrow and grab it.

$20 for the collection, wow, great price. I just got mine and paid over $30. However, was worth it to me as mine is the NON bilingual version.

I think I paid $10-$15 for the original last year and am contemplating picking up the boxset and taking the hit from last year. It's a sunk cost anyways, right?

$20 for both 1 and 2 isn't bad at all, considering I bought the first for $15 and the 2nd for $20. I wished I payed it the other way around though considering not only how much better the first was but the video quality in the second is just very bad. Especially if you watch it from the first to the second, it's hard to keep up with the video quality.

Where are you seeing this for $20? My wife just bought the collection for me through Amazon for the $29.49 price listed above and said, "I bought you an early Christmas gift!" Because I told her that I wanted to get them before Christmas so we could watch them.

I wish I had woken up at 4:00 am CT to get this on Amazon when it was $14.

I missed the deal as well, but complained a little in Live Chat and they honored the price anyways. It just took a little while to come though. I just received them today and my order was placed on November 29,

I couldn't hold back at $15.99 for the collection.

What do you mean? The original poster art for the movie has Harry and Marv hovering behind the Empire State Building. If you mean the animated black "skyline" with the two block buildings before the title than that's a minor thing to fix or why not just leave it as is? The twin towers did exist when that movie was made and they are visibly seen in the film with Kevin on top of the South Tower which is always cut out of network or basic cable tv airings which angers me. We made a promise to "never forget" so why are we erasing them as if they never existed? That doesn't help us heal that wound. And it doesn't make sense to do it now when so much time has passed and there's now a new tower at the site. I could understand doing it out of sensitivity during the Christmas season of 2001 or 2002 even but I think we can handle seeing them in 2013. I look at it as honoring the past and looking forward to the future.

Is there a version of this that's region free? I've noticed the ones I've seen online have region a on the back. The 25th anniversary edition of the first film is region free I believe.
