One of my favorite forgotten masterpieces! I was thinking just last week that it would make a perfect Twilight Time title, with its gorgeous, spare Delerue score. Cannot wait for this on BD.

It's astonishing that Vanessa Redgrave plays the title role and is the dominant character in the film, yet only appears in one 10 minute scene, for which she won a well-deserved Oscar.

I was holding out hope that it would find its way to the Criterion Collection, and get some documentaries and retrospective interviews, but I'll be happy just to have the film in HD.

She was on the screen more than that great 10 min scene. I also think this is Jane Fonda's best performance as well.
