Pioneer Kuro dying?

Any recommendations for a long time Kuro user?

As with most, black level is most important to me. At this point, I am considering getting a 65" and wall mounting it, but 55" is still on the table for me. It would be in an open living room and used daily for normal TV watching (Directv) and standard bluray watching. About 12' away from main watching position. My budget is flexible, but I would like to be around $2-3K. I know that puts me in a rough spot for the 2016 LG OLED's and especially 65".

I'm not sure what to think of LG's Prime 4K UHD's? I've also looked at the 65UF9500 UHD, but am not sure how it would compare with the 2015 or 2016 LG OLED's.
