An R rating would never happen under Disney/Marvel. They need to sell merch to kids.

Nice try with the toys line but Most superhero characters do not need nor should have an R rated film. Simple as that.

As for that article, I can't imagine them leaving out any of the Guardians. That would be incredibly lame.

Kenner back in the late 80s/early 90s didn't seem to have problems making toys based on R rated movies.

given the nature of Infinity Wars, it would require every character we've seen thus far in the MCU and probably some we will see for the very first time, no matter how brief. keep in mind, a lot of heroes get killed off right off the back against Thanos. if by the end of the second part, we haven't seen everybody to include some surprises, it would just not be right to the fans.

Yeah but the PC culture today basically guarantees that such toys are forever gonna be in the past. Funkos are about as close as we'll get to R-rated toys.

It needs to be like Marvel Future Fights, which manages to include everything not just the films.

It seems like the superheroes who would get R-rated movies are being relegated to Netflix series. In terms of content, Daredevil is absolutely R-rated material.

considering the quality of both seasons of Daredevil, as well as Jessica Jones, that isnt a bad thing, at all.

Avengers: Omega 3

During the Avengers' lunch break, Black Widow has a sandwich with some fish oil and accidentally becomes an Inhuman.

This. Marvel doesn't do numbered sequels outside of the Iron Man films and even then, they only titled it Iron Man 3 because they had already called the other one Iron Man 2.

....Guardians is kind of skirting the line by going with Vol. 2

The alleged "source" article from Deadline doesn't even say the film has been re-titled to Avengers 3. I just love the internet "press"
