I had a blast rewatching the new remastered blu ray of Independence Day, the extended cut too which i'd not seen before. It's such an entertaining movie.

I'll have to watch it again before this one is out in theaters. I remember the rumors of an ID conversion, but that never surfaced.

Just got my copy of the 20th anniversary blu ray. Will catch it soon. Only have the DVD. Gather I'm going to be floored by the difference.

I remember the first movie as not being good. I remember thinking that it did not have any suspense or much surprise and a lot of one liners by Will Smith. I'll rent it again to reevaluate.

To me, it was simply a whole lot of fun. A good popcorn movie.

I'll have to watch it again asap, though I also remember quite a few dry, drawn out scenes that had little to do with the alien invasion. Once the action started again though, I was entertained.

Just saw it in 3D. One word, disappointing. I was curious on how a film like this would look in 3D and it was flat with no difference aside from a few scenes with depth. And even then, that rarely happens. No pop-outs either.

Wow, surprising because I saw the trailer twice in 3-D and was really impressed with the 3-D. There were some great pop-outs as well. Was really looking forward to it.

I saw the trailer in 3-D also and was appalled at how much it looked like every CGI-loaded, 2-second edited teenage-inviting release at the "plex" for the last ten years. Busy, busy, busy to the point of being irritating.
Now that's just the preview. I'm not saying I'll be "appalled" by the movie... which, of course, I will see in IMAX 3-D!
