@MechaGodzilla: In the US, ethnicity and sexual preference becomes irrelevant to anyone who accepts true diversity and unity, but to those who choose self pity there will always be a veto factor, which consumes every facet of their being. This has an affect on society, so much the average peoples are forced to accommodate [their] insecurity for the sole purpose of not offending a minority train of thought.

Presenting a thread for Greatest Gay films or Greatest minority films without allowing for Greatest Straight Films or Greatest majority films is both hypocritical and counterintuitive, considering Greatest films regardless of race or sexuality, is more inline with unity if we really want to move past certain prejudices; making the argument, "The majority are white and straight therefore the majority should allow special privilege for those in the minority" isn't an argument, it's an enabler tactic. Of course this is in regard to online forum etiquette for context, but obviously observable irl if you pay attention to the SJW push in what we used to consider higher learning.

Well alright, evidently we don't see eye to eye on this. Not going to take it any further, a mod will probably come in and clean it up eventually anyway.

How can a collection of people be diverse if they don't celebrate what makes each of them different? This doesn't even make sense. Again, you're basically complaining about a nonexistent problem. Because what exactly is the issue for people to celebrate gay films or black films? Do you honestly feel persecuted against because there is no thread specific for cis white males?

I understand the regressive left movement you're complaining about, and that's basically the polar opposite of you implying that there be no self expression. I tend to find that people who complain about minorities celebrating/embracing what makes them different in this sort of manner often do so because 1) They feel uncomfortable about it so they want to ignore it, or 2) They truly are stupid and don't see that for people to celebrate diversity then minorities need to shout out what makes them different from the whole.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a thread dedicated to LGBT films. It would be redundant to have a 'Greatest Cis White Male' thread because folks would just start listing the majority of films out there. I do see the point you're making, though. I'm bisexual but I'd never attend a Gay Pride parade. My sexuality is just one minor part of my identity and I don't see the point in celebrating it and distinguishing myself from straight people. We're all the same.

Dreamed last night Kevin Costner wanted to cast me in a suspenseful thriller he's working on, and I repeatedly told him I couldn't act. Every movie I've done, has been one bit parts. He wouldn't take no for an answer, so I had to convince his assistant to find someone else. Ended up going with that young guy from Joe. I hardly ever dream about real people.
