So milions of people will get UHD format player with xbox one slim , and most likely will try few UHD discs because of this. This is very good for UHD format future

Where is Sony they have always had the best Bluray Players out on the market in my opinion so I would assume they could make a great 4K Player. Way to be last to the party I mean we have Phillips and Samsung and Microsoft. I hear PS4 NEO but I haven't seen any design or release date.

Neo is pushed back to 2017. They may not have a stand alone player because there are no Dolby Vision chips for players available yet. The ones in the TV aren't compatible with players and I've heard from reliable sources that there won't be any Dolby Vision capable players in 2016. Maybe Sony wants their player to support DV too?

Worked out for Blu-ray when the PS3 was a trojan horse for the format.

Not likely, since their TVs don't support it.

They are mastering many of their movies in Dolby Vision already though so I don't know what they're really going to offer.

It is 100% confirmed, there is no doubt anymore.
Until you have worked with them, you don't find out there is ALWAYS doubt.

I am not saying it won't, just that they are shite at messaging

Yet their movie studios use it and release many for Dolby Cinema. That's why I wouldn't be surprised to see things change in 2017.

They are? Not that I don't believe you, but I think their movies through the Ultra app are in HDR10.

According to Robert Zohn just 4 days ago, he was told by Dolby that there will not be any dolby vision players in 2016. Plus, if this console would be DV capable, you'd better your ass they would have announced it today as it would have been the premier feature of the box.

Given how the have muddled the Ultra HD Blu Ray playback support Is I wouldn't be surprised if it was included but I can't see it happening. By that what i mean is the Ultra HD blu-ray is clearly in the back seat when it comes to this console, they could do with being a lot clearer, its all I'm buying it for.

Sounds too good to be true. Price is too cheap. Definitely will help big time with adoption, especially when (assumed) the PS4 follows suit.
