Does Toshiba really think they are a Hot Commodity in the TV world where they can shot call like this?

If I were your dad I would tell them to kick rocks and pick up a few other models from the competition.

How dare they...their TV's are "Mediocre-At-Best" and they are pulling this?

And everyone says Sony is the bad guys...

I am sure it's nice.
Comparing their products to Sony & Samsung in the TV realm is like comparing a Toyota to a ford in reliability. Most will whole heartedly take Toyota (Sony or Sammy) over Tosh.

But thats not what this threads about...Toshiba pulling this Bully tactic is just hillarious...how desperate they have gotten.

I am glad you like your display. Toshiba has now discontinued all rear projection displays in favor of flat panels.

I'm not so sure he likes his DLP; he did spell it "To-shit-a."

Haha, I know. I'm going to start typing that. That display was top of the line a year ago. My parents paid 4000$ for it.

Who knows one day it might be a requirement to carry HD-DVD movies in all retail stores if a retailer wants to be a Microsoft authorized dealer selling Microsoft products. As far as I am aware no requirement like that currently exists but who says something like that could not happen in the future.
