You could tell Tessanne was thrilled yet humbled. Always nice to see someone like that celebrated. She was my favourite singer. The other two were good though and might have careers.

This show always does that in the finale, going back to season 2 (I don't remember if the season 1 winner even had to sing at the end). I think Cassadee Pope got like half a verse in before the show ended on her.

I think I read somewhere that the last-second endings every week during the live shows are a mandate from NBC. Singer goes home, no time to say farewell. Singer advances, no time to celebrate. For a popular show, they sure do a lot of things wrong (like the montage).

Congrats to Tessanne. I'm a little disappinted that Jacquie didn't win, but I'm not surprised. Tessanne seems to have a ton of fans and she is good. I have a feeling that this isn't the last time we'll hear from Jacquie or Will.

Does anyone still watch this show because they did something that has pissed off quite a few people. This season just had a Voice first and a new low for them -- a triple montage.

Rebekah Samarin had her blind audition montaged, then she won her battle round but they showed zero seconds of it and just cut to Adam making his choice, and then they montaged her knockout round which she lost and only showed a clip of her opponent singing. The showrunners took a positive experience for her and then punched her in the gut.

Haven't noticed her till you mentioned this. Shame because she sounds pretty darn good.

Yeah, I found it odd they kept skipping over some people. I mean, they had an episode that was basically just a giant recap of the season so far. You'd think they'd have time to throw a little spotlight on everyone.

Voice' singer Christina Grimmie dies after shooting at Orlando concert


(CNN)Singer Christina Grimmie, who starred in NBC's "The Voice," died early Saturday after a gunman shot her following a performance in Florida, authorities said.

A man armed with two guns walked up to the 22-year-old singer as she was signing autographs late Friday night and opened fire, Orlando police spokeswoman Wanda Ford said.

The gunman fatally shot himself after Grimmie's brother tackled him, according to authorities.

"Her brother is a hero for saving and stopping him from not hurting anyone else," Ford said.

The singer had performed at The Plaza Live theater Friday night, along with the band Before You Exit, when the shooting broke out. She was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and died a few hours later.

"It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord," her publicist Heather Weiss said in a statement.
"She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gunshot wounds. We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning."

I never watched the show, but this is horrible for anyone to go through...especially someone so young. My prayers are truly with her family.

I've never been a watcher of The Voice, but I read about what happened to that girl. To me what makes it all worse is the fact that the shooter did himself in after taking her out. In my opinion, because he took her choice to live or die away from her, his choice to live or die should have been taken from him too. In other words, if her fate was going to be decided by another person, his fate should have then been decided by someone else too.
