Yes! One of my favourite films and one which old George has messed with the least....

Almost a perfect film in ever respect.

Does this have all the special features from the American release? The American cover says Special Edition and this doesn't.

I spotted these the other day, our Ron was quite the action hero back in the day. It would be nice if the Corman collction made it over here. Slighty better artwork (or more realistic) than the stylized caricature's of the Graffiti work.

I'm still debating whether to watch the American Graffiti sequel. I'm worried it might ruin the whole thing.

Default American Graffiti?

Is the Uk edition of American Graffiti the same as the American one? The reviews of the American one are bad and say it is scrubbed too clean. However I just saw on capaholics a comparison of the Uk Blu-ray and the old dvd and I can still see good grain on the uk blu caps.. anyone?

I'd also like to know this. I've never actually seen the film because I was put off buying the Blu-ray!

IMO it looks pretty good considering it was shot on Super 16mm. I think the review is a little harsh, and there's definitely grain present.

You can still buy the Zavvi Steelbook pretty cheap, and I must say that it looks nice in the flesh, very glossy!.

It was shot on 35mm Techniscope, the "poor man's CinemaScope".

You're right, of course. I do have a bad memory though, someone mentioned that it was shot on quasi Super 16mm in the user reviews section.

I've got the UK Blu-Ray which I believe to be the same transfer as the US Disc.

In my opinion it looks very good and a big improvement over the DVD. If there is DNR, then its minimal and it wasn't noticeable to me (I'm only watching on a 42 inch screen).

I'd been meaning to get this so ordered it using Prime so it should arrive tomorrow. The transfer looks pretty ok from screenshots but certainly, there's room for improvement. I don't think this will get a remaster for a loooooong time though and I think the review here has maybe put a lot of people off it unnecessarily. I'll post again after checking it out if anyone cares .
