Has there been a confirmation that the footage we're seeing is from Wii U and not NX?

Reports are saying Nntendo has confirmed the 'experience' will be identical on both versions. Probably just the usual resolution, frame rate and foliage benefits for the NX version.

So so very hyped for this.

Sports gaming maniac. DC Comics, WWE, 2k sports, Sports, and movies are kind of my thang.

Still not a fan of the shaded animation style; hated it ever since Wind Waker. I'm also disappointed they've ditched the basic setup, in favor of a tech-ish RPG like the Final Fantasy series.

I wish I had just watched the trailer and nothing else.

After watching extensive amounts of gameplay video, I honestly don't understand why everyone is peeing down their legs over this game other than the fact the name Zelda is attached to it and people are nostalgic as hell about it. I didn't really see anything to make this game seem all that special or different from the countless other open world RPG's that have come before this. Plus for as big as the world is, it seems a little thread-bare. Certainly not the lush worlds of Skyrim or Witcher 3, which yeah I get the fact those are different kinds of games in terms of maturity and story. But still, I was hoping for a little more honestly. I'll still play it on the NX but I just don't share the same "OMG! OMG! OMG!" feeling that so many others do.

I will say this, I do like the art style and color palette of the game and I think the music sounds epic as hell.

Also, why in hell is Link right-handed now?

I think a lot of it comes from multiple places.

1. First main console Zelda game in 6 years (Skyward Sword was 2011)
2. It's been teased for sooooooo long
3. The art style is pretty damn great

Also it's Nintendo doing open world. That alone will get people talking just like RE7 has with it's drastic change in gameplay (whether or not the game ends up like that is still up for debate).

I'm also fine with the overworld being a bit bare, especially for enemies. It'll be better to get lost and explore instead of it being like the first 2 InFamous games where you could walk 5 feet and have 100 snipers shooting at you from every rooftop. I kind of hate when developers create these massive worlds and you never get a chance to just enjoy them.

But see, that's Nintendo "chasing the puck" again instead of innovating. That's the difference between Nintendo 2016 VS Nintendo 1990. Zelda should have been the FIRST game to do this. But it's not and it comes off like they're copying but doing it on a safer, less ambitious level.

Oh I absolutely agree. I'm actually more excited at what's to come. If this is their first open world imagine what will come next. It finally seems like they've caught up to everybody as far as engines, bigger worlds and HD are concerned. No more struggling. Now the magic will happen. Imagine the next Mario or Punch Out or Pilotwings or hell, a new Wave Race.

Also, apparently you can go right to the last boss and finish the game quickly. Or do everything to get the entire story.

"Users may not actually get the full story depending on how they play this game and how they strategize and solve puzzles," producer Eiji Aonuma told Polygon. "Users are able to go to the very end goal without revealing why Link woke up the way he did and where he did. Whether you want to reveal the storyline and find out why Link woke up, or you want to just go straight to the goal, that's an option totally up to the user."

We've already seen an awful lot of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at this year's E3, but one thing we haven't seen yet is the game's conclusion. Maybe that's obvious, but according to the game's creators, dedicated players will be able to speed on through to the game's finish right from the start, if they wish to do so.

When asked, Aonuma confirmed that a player could go directly to the final boss of the game from its opening moments if they wanted. However, he also stressed that he didn't view this as an ideal way to play.

"Anybody who can go straight to the goal without doing anything else — there's two possibilities," Aonuma said. "Either they're a really good gamer, or they could be somebody that's a little bit crazy. But it's not impossible. I created the game like that.

"Maybe it might be fun for fans to compete in a challenge for who can clear it first."

Looks great! I skipped on the Wii U, but I'll probably grab the new system in March. Zelda games always sell the system for me.

Proper screenshots (although those are quite obviously bull-shots).

See, I can do this too.

And even that's BS, because I would have to have access to a large stream and basically look also for the worst screen possible.

This here for example is actually a (very bad) screenshot of Uncharted 2:

But I'm too lazy to create a similar JPG for Uncharted 2.
