It's possible, but the video quality will be lower than that of the usual 2-hour films in that case. Lagaan was initially released on a single DVD with a DD5.1 track before being re-released in the much superior 3-DVD collectors' edition.

Its possible by avoiding dts track(in dvd), like hollywood dvds
