OK, definitely getting the LE (and definitely going to set money aside for these Wednesday LE announcements from now on).

The artwork with the car is the art shown in the Blu-Ray case on the Deluxe Edition's page, so that will be the art for the standard edition (with the original poster art on the reverse). Plus, the page for the standard edition confirms this. Nice artwork.

The floating heads one is no surprise. Just imagine how nice that one would have looked if you lost all the heads and it was just Carrie in the fire.

I bet the Deluxe Edition will be sold out by tomorrow.

4K from the OCN; great news indeed. This will look fantastic!

Considering that they have put out nearly every other early De Palma title too, I wonder how long until Arrow announces a release for the UK?

For once, I am very tempted by the deluxe edition. Both of them lovely covers and posters. Decisions, decisions.

Fact that this is going to be a 4K scan makes me believe that this was scanned with the intention of being released during the MGM 90th anniversary a couple of years back (like the Rain Man, Fargo, and Robocop discs), but for whatever reason they backed out. Carrie was actually one of the films shown in the MGM 90 trailer that played in front of those discs.

Wow, Awesome Artwork.

I Love that they went a different route with the design, just like the unique art the did for Lake Placid:

I'm glad I haven't picked up the MGM Blu-ray yet. Now I really want to get their Carrie Double Feature set..

No need for me to have the Limited Deluxe Edition, but I'm definitely grabbing the standard Collector's Edition, which has the best cover art anyway. Woo hoo!

The 4K scan should be amazing.

I'm excited for this release, and I'll definitely pick it up sans extra cardboard, but I'd recommend moderating your expectations about how good this film is going to look. I may be wrong about this, but I seem to remember it being pretty rough around the edges from the get-go, so while it will definitely look "better", I'm not sure it will look "superb".

On the other hand, I'd never have guessed Return of the Living Dead could look so much better, so maybe Scream can pull it off.

I'll definitely pick this up, probably with the 2-pack of the "sequel" and TV Remake.

Why is there automatic hate for "floating heads" artwork and universal embrace for minimalist style?

I like the floating heads art better, but not enough to justify the extra bucks. Wish it were the standard. Oh well, it's the movie that counts. What would be really cool if you got one artwork on the slip, a second on the insert, and the original on the reverse of the insert. But then, they'd sell fewer limited editions.

I'm sure it will be in the $22 range just like screams other release on Amazon. Worth it for a new remaster and extras.

It puzzles me as well, though I do love both of the new art.

no kidding... it's like 2 or 3 people made fun of this art concept a few years back and now 90% of people have to complain about "floating heads" ....

I just don't get how people seem to create issues that ultimately are of little or no importance at all...

Yeah, no new interviews is kind of annoying.

New interviews with everyone but the star of the film.
