I'd like to see both cuts of AMADEUS. While the director's cut fills in some plot holes as well as a few individual moments, I miss the "I will RUIN...your incarnation" line of Salieri's.

KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR
GRINDHOUSE (I actually have it on my DVR)

I haven't seen EYES WIDE SHUT on Blu, so I don't care too much about aspect ratio if we can get the original NC-17 cut

I don't know how I feel about extended cuts for THE THIN RED LINE and THE NEW WORLD. Both of them are fairly long as it is, so I'm not chomping at the bit. It's the same reason I'm not excited for the extended cuts of LORD OF THE RINGS. Each were over 3 hours long as is.

As for newer ones not mentioned on the thread, ARMY OF DARKNESS. Because it's the only time I preferred the theatrical cut over the director's cut. "Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun." is way better than "I'm not that good." And while it may have been more in spirit with the trilogy of Ash sleeping an extra hundred years and waking up in a post apocalypse, the final showdown in the store was so much better.

"Ma'am, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the store."
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"
"Name's Ash. (loads gun) Housewares."

And of course one of the best last lines in a movie.

"Hail to the king, baby."

Most of the films already mentioned... but I'll throw one into the mix that I would literally kill for (if I had to kill for the last copy)...

Yes. The extended version is the "WeWantYourMoneyOnADoubleDip"-Cut , but the theatrical version was Ridley Scott's director's cut. Same goes for Gladiator by the way.

That's fine with me of course . I usually prefer the director's cut (even if it is shorter).

The N-17 cut is out on blu now with the orgy scene intact and that was the only thing missing. It has only been released in that version on BLU

"""To avoid an NC-17 rating, the orgy scene was partially censored in the American release with the placement of computer-generated objects and characters in front of the more sexually explicit details. Non-USA theatrical releases are generally uncut"""

It's out on dvd too. I have the Kubrick dvd box set that released last year and the original orgy scene is on the dvd as well, girlfriend bought it for me for x-mas even though I told her I was saving money to get them on blu! Now I can't buy them on blu for fear of offending or upsetting her lol.

My Pick is also "Kill Bill Whole Bloody Affair"

After seeing the extended version, I can never watch the theatrical version again.

As for me (besides The Abyss):

Terminator 2
Aliens
Beauty and the Beast (2010 seems too long to wait for this movie)
Star Trek 1 & 2 (they could release extended version of 3 & 5 also)
Highlander 2 (Renegade Version)

....

Just kidding about Highlander 2 Renegade Version (at least they were no longer aliens from the planet Zeist in it)...all you Highlander fans can now stop frothing at the mouth.

(And yes, we know what you were trying to accomplish with Elizabeth Berridge's nude scene, Milos, but...you were wrong--
Salieri was not jealous of Mozart because he Wasn't Getting Any.)

I never got that from the director's cut. I thought Salieri did it just to humiliate Mozart through Constanza. That she would be willing to put out for her husband, but he just humiliates her and does nothing to get Mozart the position. I think sex was the last thing on Salieri's mind.

As for EYES WIDE SHUT, I know that the version on the Blu-Ray I have is the NC-17 version. In terms of aspect ratio, unless if it's a full frame image that's stretched out to wide or a widescreen film cropped to full frame that results in a crappy representation of the film, then I'm not particularly picky.

I haven't actually looked at my Blu-Ray of EYES, so I can't say for certain if they ****ed the Blu up.

They have to do a complete remastering on the H6 P-Cut. From what I've seen, it looks pretty bad.

Oh, I know, but damn it would be nice to have a decent looking version if they could actually pull it off instead of the dvd copied from a VHS thats been floating around.
