I think with those film billboard Shane was going for period-piece authenticity for a specific time in the 70's. Maybe Warner Bros. didn't have any big blockbusters out at the specific time in which this takes place? Or maybe those billboards were actually there at that time and Shane wanted to be super specific? I don't really know, I didn't even get to see the film, but I'm gonna blind-buy it, odds are I'm going to enjoy it, considering the cast plus Shane Black plus the 70's-era setting. It's calling out to me.

I hope, at a minimum we get the same amount of extras that "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" got which would be a commentary track with the director at the very least and maybe the two leads. Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr. are on the "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" track with Shane. Also maybe a gag reel, seems like there could be one and deleted scenes, if there are any. One would expect the usual short form interviews about the genesis of the project and what it's like with the cast & crew, ect.

I think it was a good choice whatever the reason. For me, Jaws 2, Airport '77 and Smokey and the Bandit are popcorn movies that scream pure 70s nostalgia which is perfect for the vibe of this film.

I'll be blind buying this as soon as it hits video. Loved Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. I just don't go to the movies much anymore. Otherwise I would've seen this already.

You won't be disappointed. My girlfriend and I both found it to be hilarious.

Just watched this earlier. It was decent. The ending could've been better, but I did enjoy the film overall. The girl that played the daughter was very talented as someone else previously mentioned.
