That's the figure that popped into my brain.

I mean, Blu-ray is the mostly the last place I'm going to be buying physical movies from. I may eventually dabble into a 4K player in order to get better copies of certain films I REALLY enjoy... but I'd still just play those discs in 1080p on my 1080p HDTV. And since so many of the films I love are already in 'I'll take that' quality or better on Blu... there's very little I'd actually buy in 4K.

Not to mention all I went through over the years to build my collection. That's kinda priceless.

I'd do it for about 5-7k as that would go a long way towards my surgery.
But hey make me an offer!!

I'd ask for $6,500 and accept no less than $6,000 for what I currently have.

I think expecting to get over $15 apiece from someone buying 385 blu-rays as a lot is a tad unrealistic

Yeah, I know each alone isn't worth that much, but not sure what used box sets go for either and the entire collection as a whole is always going to be cheaper than buying each single title separately used. If I were offloading to a pawn shop or used record store, I wouldn't expect more than $1,500 total.

Of course, the hypothetical was asking what it would take for me to part. I gave a straight answer without the typical "I'll never sell it" or "For a million dollars." I'm not here to sell so my asking price is a hypothetical one anyway.
