In he combo sets with Blu and DVD, they place the DVD on the right side of case with the Blu hidden under the paper advertisement. Don't know how many times I slapped in the movie only to see its the DVD. Ticks me off, those b&$t&rd$

Dual format - a worthless DVD copy IMO

Subtitle free releases

Discs with nothing but the flick on them, whack the trailer on at least FFS!!

etc, etc.

Every one of them has hobbled the format in some way, from constantly recycling the same shitty HD DVD encodes over and over again, to DNRing everything to death, to sitting on their back catalogue.

When shrink wrap sticks to the spine of the case

When the DVD is placed on the right side in the case. I just watched the DVD of Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse by accident. I'm used to the blu-ray being on the right.

When you have a disc you haven't watched in over 5 years and when you do decide to watch it again it doesn't work. I'm looking at you 'Stir of Echoes'.

Has there been some sort of a conclusion what the problem is with the early Lionsgate blu ray releases with them not working?

Is it physical - some sort of disc rot?
Or is it software based - some firmware update that made the early Lionsgate discs unplayable?

Seriously though, it only takes about 0.75 seconds to check for the BD logo.

When the Rotten Tomatoes Certified Fresh logo is placed on the cover.

When the packaging company puts stickers directly on the case instead of the plastic packaging wrap.

My biggest pet peeve about Blu-ray are when they don't have or didn't have a uncompressed or lossless audio.

Eco cases (I am anal about dust) I often change them to DVD cases, I hate Eco Cases especially when Blu-rays or UHD Blu-rays could have come in those thin cases like the Star Trek original movie collection.

- Universal's standard menu system, especially the loud noise every time you move the selection.
- Unskippable logos, notices etc.
- Not being able to cycle through the audio or subtitle options using the remote, and having to bring up the pop-up menu.
- Discs that don't remember where you were in the movie, so have to figure it out with chapter select.

Ugly, terrible, eco cases. I see less of them which is a good thing. They're flimsy and they ruin the artwork sometimes.
