You guys are talking like a 4.5 PQ on TDK would be the end of the world. Based on my experience, these movies that earn a 4.5PQ in some places are getting just as many 5's in other places. I don't think Blu-ray.com giving TDK a 4.5PQ score would really mean that Warner dropped the ball or anything.

It's a gamble....but I would be on your side of that bet. If the prologue on Batman Begins is any indication of TDK AQ/PQ, you will be the winner.

Considering that the Hulk is simply a more vibrant film, this could be a close one..
There's just more room for flaws on TDK transfer due to the dark settings.

I always get new releases on Tuesday. You just have to send them in on time.

And Dark Knight is going to be better than Hulk. If warner drops the ball on this one after it grossing over 1 billion dollars then they truly are the idiots that most people think they are.

OP, if you look at the numbers from the box office...
Iron Man did wonderfully and has received great scores and huge sales.
Hulk did very well, received very good scores and very good sales, but no word on BD sales yet.
TDK did the best. Most sales, highest scores, almost setting a record.
If this is any indication of how the ratings will go, I think TDK will get a 5.0, or at least a 4.9.

I don't think that's how it works. It's a factor but never a guarantee.
It just has to do with the studio.

I feel the same way. But no matter what TDK will be the best seller of the year. It will sell more units than Iron Man, Wall E, Hulk, Hell Boy, Wanted, Narnia II, etc. Anyone want to bet against that?

I agree. Many sites like highdefdigest.com gave Casino Royale a 4/5 for a PQ rating. That is extremely good but not as good as a 5/5 and yet i have seen movies that haev gotten 5/5 ie: The Prestige that I would in no way rate better than a title like Casino Royale. A a certain point the PQ gets so good that and flaws some people seems to see ie: edge enhancement etc seem to be totally in their heads.

I am nearly 100% sure that TDK will totally deserving of a reference quality rating in PQ and SQ.

I don't really likw how some sites will review an old title like something like The Shining or whatever and give it a 5/5 for PQ and then give a new release title a 4.5/5 for PQ just because it may be a film with dark scenes and doesn't necessarily lend itself to being a reference quality type disc. I think the PQ should be based totally on the picture and and somethign like the age of the film or how the film was shot have anything to do wiht the PQ. The picture is either that good or it isn't.
