I saw the first on an enormous IMAX screen but opted for a normal screening of Into Darkness. Figured $30 for all of them in IMAX and 3D for the latter two was a sweet deal, plus all the swag they'll give out. (Even better if they take my $8 movie money from Wrath of Khan.)

I wish my local AMC IMAX was doing the marathon. I'm doing at my local Marcus and apparently they're only showing Into Darkness and Beyond in 3D, Star Trek is in 2D. Either way, its on the Ultrascreen with Atmos and I got a seat in the VIP recliner seat section so for $22 its a steal.

So they did take your movie money? Good to know, although I'm doing AMC so they might not take it.

Star Trek 09 was never done in 3D so it's not getting screened that way. Which is fine, not a huge 3D fan; if it's offered, great, but unless reviews say the 3D is really worth it I tend not to fuss too much about seeing it that way.

I didn't use Movie Money on it. My theatre just has it priced at $22. I'm taking my nephew to see Beyond in IMAX opening weekend so I figured I would save my two vouchers for that.

Definitely going next week with mum. She's been a Trekkie all her life and has really dug the reboot series so far. Happy to hear that the early reactions for the film are looking solid, especially after a rough start it had with the marketing. Plus that ridiculous "SULU IS GAY?!" topic that's infected any discussion involving this movie.

Really? I thought the movie was a 100% convert due to it being shot with Anamorhpic lenses.
