If it doesn't sell, then so what? I'm taking a cheeky punt and seeing if it pays off, I've done it plenty of times before and I won't be crying into my cereal if it doesn't pan out. I won't be ordering/buying the new 16-disc set right now anyway, I'm waiting to see exactly what's in the set (and also for it to drop a few quid first ).
So if someone listed it at 86.42 you'd be happy to list it at £79.99? You won't be over pricing it then either.
Not logical if you actually want to sell it

However, I was simply disagreeing with your comment about the price the set commands on Amazon. Because you don't know what prices items have sold at you can't ever be sure about what anything commands on Amazon.
I've also taken a cheeky punt here and there with over pricing but it rarely pans out

Yes, that's exactly what I'd do. It's always worth a try.

Heh. While I've been typing this response my 11-disc has just sold on amazon for £29.99.

As I said, some people may be supersavvysavers but others are not. They go on amazon, they look at something, and they decide to buy it for the going price. Cheeky punts...they're fantastic.

Just got my new boxset. Arrived kinda crushed as usual, so will need a replacement. But annoyingly, the discs are just held in cardboard slots, in 4 seperate cases with 4 discs each. HATE HATE HATE that. I'll check later about the extended editions, no mention of them on the case though.

That looks so much better than the very first 8-film collection that came out at the same time as Deathly Hallows part 2's DVD and Bluray release. Why didn't they release this back then?

Ooooh, I can see lots of complaints coming in about the packaging (some folks hate that sort of loose disc slot).

What are the audio formats on the discs? (Forget the tech spec on the back, Warners don't know their arse from their elbow)

Are the extended editions for 1 and 2 on there?

Is When Harry Left Hogwarts on the special features disc for DH part 2?

TIA

Thanks for the pics. I don't like the packaging so will probably pick this up in the sale. It's going to stay unwrapped anyway (I'm a completest. Say what you like). I will however pic up the individual cases. I prefer the artwork on those. Again probably more of a BOGOF purchase from HMV or wherever is cheaper.

Yes, ME, haha! . Warners used this style for The Exorcist set last year, as soon as I opened it, 2 of the discs just fell out onto the floor and 3 of them were scuffed already anyway. Swiftly returned it and imported the US version. Unfortunately, in this case, the new individual releases are the only other option for the same content in cases but are WAY too pricey for me right now. I can always just buy a new jumbo sized case and pop all the discs into it, but maybe it won't be as bad as I think and the discs won't get marked anyway?

Also REALLY fed up of Amazon and their packaging, they delivered this in a wide envelope (normally for 2 Blu-rays side by side), so no protection whatsoever. They must lose so much money with returns, and as it's priced at £50 now, not exactly a cheap item.

Sorry to rant, just frustrated! But at least When Harry Left Hogwarts is on there, so that's cool . Even appears to be the extended version going by the description in the screenshot above!

So.. what is missing?

Extended versions of 1+2
3D versions of Part 1+2
...and???

I take it all the other extras are included aside from the Wizard's disc?

Quote:
Disc 31: Exclusive Wizard's Collection Bonus Disc

  • When Harry Left Hogwarts - Extended Version (HD, 87 minutes): Previously available in a 45-minute version on the 4-disc Target exclusive release of The Deathly Hallows, Part 2, this is a must-see. Hear candid and emotional stories about the final days on set in this particularly touching (and extended!) look at the final scenes, the final fights, the final takes, the final hurrahs and, of course, the final farewells of theHarry Potter cast and crew. This is, hands down, one of the best Potter documentaries and extras in the entirety of the set, and it's almost fitting that it would be exclusive to such an expensive, perhaps ultimate collection of the film series.

  • The 50 Greatest Harry Potter Moments - Definitive Version (HD, 64 minutes): From The Sorcerer's Stone to The Deathly Hallows, Part 2, take a look at the eight-film screen adaptation's finest fifty moments. More than a countdown, though, this special serves up more than an hour of interviews with the casts and crews, behind-the-scenes footage and, naturally, a rundown of the series' most exciting, game-changing, intense and emotional moments.
  • Designing the World of Harry Potter (HD, 23 minutes): But wait, there's more! Join production designer Stuart Craig and his creative team as they examine the magic, sleight of hand, and tricks of the trade they used to bring the world of Harry Potter to life and how their designs evolved and changed over the course of eight films.
  • Secrets Revealed! Quidditch (HD, 11 minutes): So wait... they didn't have real magic brooms? Go into the FX studio and learn how the crew married practical and visual effects to deliver on the promise and potential of Rowling's flying sport.
  • Secrets Revealed! Hagrid (HD, 11 minutes): Scale doubles and forced perspective, not potions, helped turn Robbie Coltrane into a broad, towering giant (well, half-giant/half-troll) of a man. Uncover the particulars of that transformation here.
  • The Harry Potters You Never Met (HD, 11 minutes): The films' stunt doubles finally step into the spotlight.

It's also missing the special features DVDs from the first 4 films.

Also films 1-6 had new DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 at Ultimate Edition/Wizard/Hogwarts Collection instead of LPCM or Dolby TrueHD.
