Leaving Las Vegas Blu-ray REVIEW

I think that this is a rather disappointing release. I was expecting a new remastering job, but this release is sourced from the old MGM master that is in circulation. It is certainly not a bad master, but it is a dated one and it shows.

I have to admit that I am also a bit biased here because this is one of my all-time favorite films. I think that it is amongst the very best films from the '90s and I would like to have a definitive home video release.

The release should be fine for UK members as the film was not available there on Blu-ray. (It also has some supplemental features that are not on the U.S. release). However, I hope that Criterion manage to bring a definitive release of Leaving Las Vegas in the U.S. If they do, they will also produce the type of supplemental features such a release deserves.
