Wow! it's amazing. You lower the price and stock the discs in the store and people come to buy lot's of them - who'da thought?

I just got lucky. Usually, I get up about 6 pm in the evening. 99.9% of the time, I'd have missed the sale, as I usually don't check my e-mails until after the store would have closed.

Not only Man With a Movie Camera placed in the top 100 in 2012, but Shoah, another documentary (and in the Criterion Collection) was #29.

In 2002, Man With a Movie Camera was #31; Shoah was #59.
In 1992, Man With a Movie Camera was #44; Shoah was #60.

Thus far, I haven't been able to find the 1982 list beyond the top 20. But it's clear that documentaries have been on at least the past three.

Not doubting you, bwdowiak, or Ebert. I saw one discussion that listed Man With a Movie Camera as "an experimental film". Maybe the critics decided upon a work around to the exclusion. Or, maybe they said, "f it. I'm voting how I vote, and anybody that doesn't like it can pound sand!"

Watched the blind-bought Secret Sunshine from the B&N sale the other day. Loved it. Highly recommended. Perfect in the technical department as well.
Very happy with it.

I was emailed the survey a few weeks ago. I assumed because I also signed up for updates. Who knows how they selected who to send them to

I just know that I rarely get included in these sorts of things, so I am feeling lucky

Well, if it is any solace I probably won't be able to convince my wife to pay for it once the service actually starts, so this is probably my only chance to check it out.
