Ghostbusters on Blu-ray... what happened?

Hey i heard Ghostbusters 1 and 2 were coming out this month on Blu, this website says it does, I havent seen any offical artwork, Went to Best buy today and they had the little blue sign but no Blu ray Disk, They looked it up and was not in the system. What gives

Something about the game being delayed so sony delayed the movie also.

It's Sony, and they will delay just about every Blu-ray they possibly can (or so it seems). They have, on the other hand, done an exceptional job with their Blu-rays, so it is usually worth the wait.

Yeah the had the sign that said Ghostbuster 1 & 2 pack, $29.99, so at least theres the price. . . i'll defentily get the game, too

This website did say October, 2008. But now it says 2009. The video game has a publisher now, and next year will be the 25th anniversary, so it should be something special when it comes out.

Maybe Sony is waiting until Ghostbuster 3 is released or at least in theaters before bringing it to Blu?

I sure hope we don't have to wait until 2010

I doubt it. I think Sony will want to milk this 25th anniversary think. Especially if it's ready. And since the release date was 10-21, I'll bet it's ready. I'm guessing they just want to make new packaging acknowledging the 25th and release it with the game.

just heard that atari have siad the game will come out early summer (Q2 2009) to coincide with anniversary.

heres hoping the do a nice packaging job for the films, they deserve it.

Wait. Some etailer will have the two pack special for $20 or less. The movie is too old hold its value for long. I do hope sony gave ghostbusters a good digital remaster (2-4k) and a minimum 24bit uncompressed audio track.

I don't want another fugitive or Interview with the vampire butchered blu-ray.
