Yeah, it just ruined the whole experience for me. It was like say going on a tour of a city you have always dreamed of visiting, and spending the entire day observing it from a car window while driving about the city at 100 miles an hour, and noticing all these great things.

I hope they add a mode for all games where you can just play. Did the last game on the xbox have a free time mode?

why bc theres no mention of PC or Xbox? Not really relevant to this portion of the forum. The release details for PS4 were laid out in list form

Dead Rising 2 off the record has an open sandbox mode with no time limit.

I remember reading that, yes.
Off the Record, but not the regular Dead Rising 2 from what I remember. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In Off the Record, you still complete missions, though without the costly timer hounding every decision if you pick that mode. In Dead Rising 1 which only has a timed mode, after finishing the game, I went back and got to the mall in a condition that unlocked all of the levels, then just kept it at that save for the rest of the way without saving again, so I could revisit those places without some new, deadly boss to interfere most times.

The bosses (all humans most times) in the Dead Rising games are notoriously difficult to beat.

There's actually a chance for the PS4 updated games, unless stated otherwise, that a free play time free mode would be added.

That would be a welcome patch. Maybe make it an option before starting a new game.

where did you get that from? Unless they actulally sid something, I dont think Capcom would even bother going in and changing any of the games

Just loads to Capcom all rights reserved black screen & stays there.

Gonna do system update & see if that updates. Already re-downloaded both games. The first game works no problem. I dunno if it's because they seperated all game files or what.

Ah right. I wonder if it is that with the physical discs, only Dead Rising was supposed to release yesterday, and DR2 and Off The Record on the 27th? So the digital copies are locked?
