I mean, where was the epic action set? Like the plane in M I 5, or the Helicopter sequence in Spectre? It wasn't the worst movie I've seen, but it wasn't one I need to see again.

Yes, I was disappointed with it too as the chase around Greece, the climactic fight and the Las Vegas vehicle carnage were all shot in the same crap style as the chase at the start of Quantum of Solace. Editing that was so fast you really were unable to keep track of what was going on and it also meant that the vehicle destruction was money wasted as you rarely got the chance to digest it. No such problems with any of the other Bourne movies.

I'm hoping it will be easier to follow on Bluray on my 42" screen.

I hope it will be easier to watch too, and it's good to hear that the other Bourne movies aren't like that...I'm watching the first one right now.

Preordered the Best Buy UHD steelbook. It'll be a blind buy, like most of my movies.

They all feature action that is briskly edited but the latest one just seemed to be edited much faster.
The Greek chase goes on for a good few minutes and it was so annoying to not be able to keep up with what was happening after just a few seconds.
This is the only Bourne movie I've seen on the cinema screen so perhaps it was that. I'm hoping so.
It would be nice to see the director re-edit a new "Easy to follow action sequences" version.
The Las Vegas scenes are spectacular but with a bit of careful re-editing viewers could take in more of what was happening.
They may as well have used CGI for most of it as you didn't get long enough for the fact it was a real vehicle to register

I agree, I didnt like the way it was edited either, way too shaky and choppy and the way it kept cutting back and forth between the actual chase/action sequences and the CIA people really ruined the tension

The aesthetic of the series definitely was altered once Paul Greengrass came in on the second film, and despite him being back on this latest one, it was significantly worse. It worked better on Supremacy and Ultimatum for me.
