I don't own the 3D release, but my folks do.

To me, just having both cuts in 1080p and the Ultimate Cut in 4K is definitive enough.

Definitely check BB first, it will probably be cheaper than Ebay. And just so you know, it doesn't matter which version you get (Batman or Superman)...they're the same. The only difference is the J-Card.

There is a difference, the spine will be reversed when you display it for which ever version you get

It is the same. Only reversed when superman side is displayed as the front. It is correct when batman is on front, no matter which version you get.

Would try for a price adjustment but it is the weekend and customer service is probably not working. My second Batman V Superman steelbook that I ordered online was delivered on August 1st so it would still be within the 15 day return/price adjustment window. Will attempt to send an email and see what happens.

No I didn't try to order it again, I just sent an email to customer service about getting a price adjustment not knowing if they gave price adjustments on items that aren't in stock online.
