It sounds like this will be a great release, Cinespectral Films, so please do take as much time as you need. I want this release to be bursting with Elvira's...talents.

Is this release being talked about Region A or Region Free?

I assume Arrow will announce the US release soon, as they have been releasing all the horror titles that were with Image (The Stuff, Vamp, Hills Have Eyes, CHUD, etc.). I have a feeling they will deliver the Hellraiser collection as well, or atleast the first two.

They can't announce ELVIRA for the US, since the rights are with Image until later in 2018. Rights can only be acquired from Lakeshore and not from image (image is a licensee and not a licensor). We had this discussion now at least 10 times!!!

As for UK and other territories. We have exclusive use of the HD-Master for some time, which in anyway keeps others from releasing blu-rays.

But for us as a company it is actually really sad to see, that we invest time, money and a lot of work in doing a special edition of the movie. Then people rather scream for an ARROW release which would be based on our materials. wow! Speechless.

In various emails across the time of the last year I got statements from Simeoni, that they are not interested in ELVIRA at all. UK was free and available and still they did not touch it. Why? because it was not already brought to HD by Lakeshore and probably they don't see the fanbase behind the movie. They could have released it already last year, if they wanted, but they didn't. Of course once our hd-master is available to other through lakeshore, the situation might change. But until then there is some time and north america won't see anything until 2018/2019 anyway, END OF STORY.

We are not doing all the hard work to discuss what arrow could do or to pave the way for a yet non-existing US-release.

You didn't answer the most important question whether or not your release is Region A or Region Free? If it is, then I'll buy it, if it's not, then I will continue to wait for someone else to release it.

PS This thread is not in the International release section, it is in the North American wish list section, so don't be surprised if many more come in here asking about a North American release. If you want the conversation to solely be about your release, then you may want to create a new thread in the proper International section.

People kept asking here. And in any way all future releases will be based on our materials. So the questions I am answering are also important for north america.

and as for region code, I answered that question long ago, to the satisfaction of north american customers.

That's fine, but I'm saying you can't then get angry when people ask about a North American release, because this is in the North American section.

Not true.

The recently announced The Initiation is a Lakeshore title released on DVD by Image in '11, and it's now coming to Blu from Arrow. There're few more examples: Slugs, C.H.U.D....etc.

Image and Arrow are partners, and even one of the Arrow honchos said that on his Twitter account, so I don't know what you're talking about. Or, in other words, I'm sure Arrow will release Elvira in '17.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Arrow must have made a deal with Lakeshore and Image, as they are releasing all of the titles Image licnesed from Lakeshore in 2011, ie. CHUD, The Stuff, Hills have Eyes, Slugs, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if House 1+2 were released next. Unless this film was completely separate from all of the other Lakeshore titles Image licensed in 2011, then it's only a matter of time.

So you have seen the contracts etc.? Ah yeah ok.

I told you that Arrow would have been able to pick up ELVIRA for UK long ago and they didn't however, you two cannot be convinced of anything since you define the "truth" your yourselves.

Have a great day.

Oh my god.

I got my info from straight from our licensor LAKESHORE ENTERTAINMENT. Image and Arrow are at least not PARTNERS on those older IMAGE-titles, except if IMAGE were able to license MATERIALS to them for whatever (e.g. special features).

So don't YOU tell me that I am not telling the truth. What you are "sure" about is not working based on two things: License still with IMAGE and hd-master with us for a certain time, also new special features are with us first.

I have no nerves to deal with those "user-theories" based on what someone said on twitter etc. . I will let the interested people here know once we have stuff to tell and show. All others can wait for the "sure" 2017 ARROW RELEASE.

And posts like "Akijama" are really what I am talking about. That's probably why we should just reduce information-flow to just the official announcements in the future.

Thanks! Have a great day.
