He's Rachel's real father!

I'm surprised, the show kind of imploded with Mike going to jail and the all but three lawyers and two assistants in PSL pretty much running for the hills... I don't think they really thought out the premise past a season or two, or what to do when the secret got out. There's no way Mike can go to work for them again now.

I always thought when they found out and he argued against it, he should've just been like hey, I'll go BACK to school and retake the bar exam and prove it... so then he technically would've not been lying anymore

That wouldn't fix the problem... he would be even MORE likely to be found out that way... because going back to school, passing the BAR and such, would bring up the "hey, you've already been practicing law for years right?" question...

No way to unring the bell... as long as he wasn't caught, he was fine... but getting caught there was no way out of that.

no it's not a fix, but it's better than him never being able to work there again which was the point of the whole damn show lol that hacker girl put him in their system and everything, so it'd be like he's just proving the point he has done it all, which he has just not as himself.

So Louis asks Donna for a non-work favor and then tears her head off for no reason because he doesn't think she's putting enough effort into it. They try to explain it away at the end, but that scene is so typical of Suits. Half the show is just them yelling at each other because they're hot heads who speak first and think later.

But it wouldn't work. A practicing lawyer wouldn't need to go back to school... or take the BAR again... and IF he did, it would only call attention to the fact that he must not have done it before.

They only way they kept it hidden was by keeping it hidden. The time to get a proper law degree and pass the BAR was to do so before he started illegally practicing law.

And I fully expect Mike to come to work at the Investment firm leasing office space there so he can still work in the same building with all his friends. For that matter, they could also hire him as a Paralegal, since you can do that without a degree... he couldn't be a partner in the firm, but they could pay him a large salary and give him profit sharing if they wanted... especially since they literally are only 3 lawyers now... they could set that up before they bring any new lawyers into the fold.

This season has been a complete bore-fest for me and it's become just another "life of an inmate" series. I've always known they would get Mike out of jail, it's a tired old cliche. My guess? Mike will be given a license to practice law as he's released due to some information he manages to get for Cahill, through wranglings perpetrated by Harvey, which was a deal that the previous prosecutor offered to Mike for turning on Harvey.

I've simply lost interest in this series with this season because it's nothing more than a dull season. I expect something more from the writers and the production team.

This current storyline is just BS! If anything, they should have ended the series with Mike getting arrested and being offered to turn on Pearson, Spector and Litt to avoid jailtime. Even if Mike is released from prison, he wouldn't be able to get a job working at a law firm, even as a para-legal because of his unethical run as a fake lawyer.

I finally caught up with last week's episode last night. I used to always watch Suits the night it aired and it was one of my favorite shows, but now I'm practically dreading watching the show because it's not enjoyable. I'll stick with it through the rest of the season but something is going to have to change to keep me much longer.

The latest concoction from the producers of this show?
[Show spoiler]Mike's deal to get out of prison has been withdrawn by the government after Mike helps get the evidence?
Just what reality does the production team and the writers live in? There's no way this would happen in real life.

Let's examine what happened: a suspect or convicted felon helps obtain evidence for a prosecutor in arrangement for a deal to get out of prison or jail. Then, the prosecutor or the government decides not to honor the deal but they still have the evidence that they received through the assistance of the convicted felon. First, that would never happen because the prosecutors for the state or federal government would be screwing themselves in the future because no convicted felon would ever help another prosecutor in the future for the fear of their agreement being revoked. Second, any attorney in their right mind would have gotten that agreement in writing, signed and authorized by those in the government with details of the agreement to have the felon released from jail.

Harvey Spector is not a good attorney because it's obvious that he didn't get the agreement in writing. Additionally, once the prosecutor got the information they needed, they should have arranged for Mike to be placed in protective custody to protect him as a witness.

Finally, I think they are using this idiotic idea to prolong the storyline until the mid-season finale where Mike will be released and it's a very old and tired cliche to prolong this 'Mike is in prison' storyline.

Explain to me how exactly he helped to get the evidence ?

Harvey gave the program to Cahill and Louis found the evidence that there was insider trading and the guy responsible for that came forward and that's their key witness.

Mike was supposed to get Kevin to turn on his father and law and he didn't achieve that.

This show hasn't been as good as their first 3 seasons in a while but I still enjoy the show for what it is and that's the characters, the acting, not the storyline.

While Harvey did push the insider trader toward Cahill, Mike pushed Kevin's wife into going to Cahill to come clean, leading to a confrontation with Kevin. Judging from the previews for the next episode, things are coming to a head. The production team has really jumped the shark with this season.

I'm fine with this season. It's not as good as the show was in the beginning... but most shows don't hold up after 5 seasons as well.

I like the change of pace we are getting this season, actually.

that's legitimately the best reason I can agree with lol I kind of stopped caring as each week progressed last season and this one is just bland. I also just keep hoping it'll end soon so I keep watching to stay current with it but I'm considering giving up after this season and maybe just catching up when it's over if it's on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Jessica was great this episode. I love that type of woman LOL.

With that said. Blah with this season so far. Maybe the back end will improve.
