Is it that people just do not want to see the forest through the trees here on Manning? The report was never debunked or proven false and these players now being called before GODell proves as much.

It went like this for Manning, retire and we wont look into this any further!

It's the NFLPA's fault for giving him so much power in the CBA. No other sports commissioner has anywhere close to this much power. This isn't going to change anytime soon because the current CBA doesn't 2020 so unless the NFLPA makes some big concessions to get changes now they're stuck with basically a dictatorship.

And this is precisely the kinda stuff I was referring to when I posted a day or so ago that the NFL is on the decline...the past 2-3 years have been an absolute unequivocal MESS.

The next CBA negotiations should be rather interesting.

It's not even about the level of power. It's just that he's an idiotic dic*head that has no deserving of the position.

I don't mind Goodell as much as a lot of NFL fans, but it does feel like it might be time for a change in commissioner. But the NFL is going so strong right now that I can't see the owners agreeing to get rid of him.

The NFL should stop messing with the return game, leave things alone and the game will be just fine.

No just common sense, you don't go from his situation to breaking records without help to heal. And if there was nothing to this story then why do they want statements from the other players involved or face indefinite suspension?

He's one of the greatest to ever play the game, once he healed he was going to be back to being Peyton. There is a reason the NFL cleared Peyton after they talked to him, there is nothing to the story. It's just that, a story. The NFL is mad at those other players because they aren't bending to their demands. Hence the threat of being suspended.

What do you want the NFL to do? They investigated Peyton and cleared him. Beyond that he never failed a drug test. I know the drug tests are a joke in the NFL with without any actual evidence against Peyton what was the NFL supposed to do?

He did fall off a cliff his last season so that could be something if you believe he doped.

But the thing is the NFL does not treat every player the same. They just do what they want.

Seriously, if Peyton was doping it sure as hell didn't improve his performance.

The year in question was 2011 when he was allegedly sent the drug and looking at possible ending his career. The league by the way didn't even begin testing for this until 2014.

Look up his 2012 and 2013 stats, over 10,000 yards and 92 tds for those two untested seasons.

I'm sure Peyton didn't take PEDs just like Brady didn't have balls deflated and just like Belichek didn't have someone illegal tape other teams. It's truly rich to see Pats fans complain about cheating
