exactly. but i was just bewildered how he spilled that out of his mouth with such confidence that it was JUST announced. as if it happened while i was on my way to the store. the man had an agenda. inform a supposedly 'ignorant' consumer about the woes of sony and beef up hd-dvd. weak.

Best Buy staff has been lying about which side has the most studio support since just about ever.

Whatever you do, don't ever listen to anything from any Best Buy employee, for the most part. They have to be the worst informed people of any electronics retailer.

Disney would begin selling Snow White to drunken sailors before they'd go with HD-DVD. And I expect Snow White to remain as pristine as all my Blu-ray discs.

If Best Buy is anything like Future Shop (Future Shop (Western Canada) is owned by the same people who own Best Buy in the States/Eastern Canada ) most sales people aren't very knowledgeable.
