United Kingdom Brewster's Millions - 6th June 2016

Fabulous films are releasing Brewster's Millions on the 6th June 2016. Pre-orders are up on Amazon & Zavvi.

I don't have any of their releases, are Fabulous Films any good with their Blu-ray?

Also Dragnet on the same date...

Hopefully that £19.99 price is subject to change, as the film's now just newly available from Italy at about £11 delivered.

Haven't seen Brewster's Millions since I was a kid, I'll be grabbing it.

Would love Some Kind Of Hero, The Mack & The Toy too.

Only seen Dragnet once and all I can remember is "Look out.....Muppets!"

I have the US blu-ray of The Toy. The film has not aged well. Dragnet and Brewster's Millions on the other hand are still solid comedies.

Good news, I watched this again earlier this year, I still like it, hopefully the price comes down though.

I've only got their releases of Wonderwall and The Serpent and the Rainbow, but I'm quite pleased with both, particularly Wonderwall which looks just darn lovely.

From check disc:

Cast and Filmmakers:
- Richard Pryor (4 pages)
- John Candy (4 pages)
- Lonette McKee (3 pages)
- Stephen Collins (4 pages)
- Hume Cronyn (6 pages)
- Walter Hill (4 pages)
Production Notes (4 pages)
Theatrical Trailer (1:26)

1.85:1 1080p AVC MPEG-4
English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono
No subtitles.

PQ looks okay for an 80s catalogue comedy. 3.5/5 territory IMO.

Whilst assessing the image quality, keep in mind that this movie is from the 80s. No, it's nothing to do with cheap film stock, but more about not looking at Pryor's skin texture and assume something is wrong with it.

How's the transfer? For this and Brewser's Million actually. The Borrowers looks absolutely terrible from the Caps-a-holic screenshots.

I don't know where there's a Sainsbury's with Blus in stock that aren't currently in the charts or I would grab that.
