I think given the listed price, this link might be for the 4k version... but with the wrong art. No high hopes, though.

it isn't necessarily a 100% confirmation but the info listed on the page on here lists the amazon exclusive as a 2 disc version (1 BD-50 & 1 BD-66). Although you would think the artwork would then show 2 discs so take it with a grain of salt

2 things that to me indicates that it's a single 4K UHD disc.

1) The cover only says 4K Ultra HD
2) Only a 4K UHD disc is shown sticking out of the cover

Almost all 4K discs (much like almost all 3D discs) don't even include special features, so the regular 2D disc is usually included. Maybe this will be the first 4K disc with substantial extras, but I seriously doubt it. I think there's a good chance this includes the 2D disc just like the regular 4K version. Why include the 2D disc for the regular 4K version and not with the Supreme Cinema Series? This doesn't make sense to me. Sure, the SCS is a limited edition, but I think that's referring to the packaging more than anything else.

All previous Sony Supreme Cinema Series releases have been single Blu-ray disc only. Since this is the first UHD release in this series, it's unclear if it will include the regular Blu-ray as well. We'll have to wait for more info from Amazon or a hands-on review. If it doesn't have the regular Blu-ray, I guess I'll have to purchase the normal UHD combo edition since I don't have a 4K TV yet.

Very true, but it's quite easy for Sony to add another slot with artwork in the front or back for the second disc. The discs are housed in a slot in the back of the other SCS. You know it's got to have them or you're just paying for the movie in UHD + a book full of movie artwork. Who's really going to buy that? I also feel it's unlikely to be just a 4K disc + extras considering we know the regular 4K version is going to have the 1080p disc. I guess it could be a limited pressing of 4K discs + extras, but it's unlikely Sony is doing that. The packaging is what was "limited" about the other SCS. Besides the packaging, the slipcover variants were identical in every way. IMO, there's no reason to think this SCS will be any different other than a stock photo (which can often be misleading) that shows only one disc.

I just preordered this. I believe the packaging will be like the one used for Bram Stoker's Dracula, with the clear plastic cover (part of the Supreme Cinema Series).

This item (amazon exclusive edition) is listed on blu-ray.com as including the 4K UHD disc, blu-ray and UV code. Not sure what discs will be included in the non-amazon exclusive edition.

October 18, 2016 is the release date. I am hoping that the new master and Atmos (and 7.1 TrueHD) mix will blow our socks off.

I guess this means we can expect a re-release of Fifth Element, Dracula and The Professional in the true Ultra HD format this time? I'm in for Fifth Element and Professional if so!

Here's a picture of the Non-Amazon Exclusive.

This disc is likely the 1080p "Mastered in 4K" version + bonus features. The Amazon Exclusive listing says "4K Ultra HD + Digital" in the title, so perhaps its exclusivity is the SCS packaging + 4K Ultra HD + Digital HD? If so, where are the special features? On the 4K disc??

Well, I guess we'll find out more as October 18th approaches...

They have to re-grade them for HDR before they can release them in UHD disc format. Sad but true....
