Paramount is easily the worst studio of the bunch when it comes to their treatment of older movies. I'm still waiting for releases of the two Brady Bunch movies on Blu-Ray, and their treatment of the pre-Abrams Star Trek films has been atrocious, repackaging the same sub-standard transfers over and over again with TWOK being the only exception and only, I suspect, because it can be vaguely connected to the second entry in the new Abrams Trek movie franchise.

The people running their home video division must be absolute dunces.

Or Paramount hasn't given them much of a budget to work with to restore older films. Not sure.

...and was one of the selections on 3DGO when they were still in operation, so some of us did see Hondo in 3-D as a rental.
