I think the biggest OLED is a 77" and that's something like $20k. I think you got a great value for how big your TV is. And as long as blus still look great, I think it was a good purchase. It'll be years before you can get an OLED at those prices.

How big is your living room that you need a TV that big?

I think you made the right choice as well $20k is way too much for me for that size, regardless of how good the picture looks. I already want a bigger screen. Im thinking I might have to go projector next time around but thats even more foreign to me than this TV stuff is. From my spot on the couch, I sit about 13' away from the screen.

Nice! I can't even begin to wrap my head around starting to research projectors. Its a good 3 years away at least before I upgrade.

It has to do with the fact that your TV came out when the specs for UHD Blu-ray were just getting sorta, kinda finalized.

Samsung UHD TV's didn't really start getting better until they got to Quantum Dots (SUHD) and other ways to expand the color reproduction.

It also only got HDR via a firmware update, but it doesn't have the brightness recommended by the UHD Premium Certified stats.

Same here, I looked into it. And it was all above my head so I went back to TVs. You need the right screen, the right lighting conditions, it's too much.

And man, 85" would be a great set up for gaming. Lol

Even with ideal set up a HD projector cant even scratch the surface of what you get out of Oled. But to me it is nice to have a cinema feel and have "movie nights" with my family. Just dont go look for perfect blacks or infinite contrast

Oh, you haven't seen a laser projector have you?

That has OLED pop and dynamic range but with a HUGE screen, especially the Barco.

So far I've only played need for speed on the PS4. Im not much of a gamer, but its nice being able to see everything in that size.

This is the main thing I was waiting on. For TVs to start coming out that were UHD premium certified.
