But right now, I'm just worried. I stopped being scared when I stopped trading stocks completely. I put everything in FDIC insured CDs now. I'm never going back to stocks again. I think things are going to get worse. When everyone truly starts panicking, that's when you'll the worst. I think it has just begun.

Hopefully, a new president will instill calm and a return to normalcy.

Right now, I've stopped placing more orders for blus. It's too dangerous because you are worried about your job and your business. If enough people, lose their job or panic, it will affect your job or your business. It would be foolish if people didn't save for the impending rainy days.

Save for what? Granted I agree with you 75% of the way - what I don't understand is if there is "impending doom" - you can have all the money saved up in the world - it won't do you any good. It would be useless.

Not spending money is worse. Let me just say this, if you are cutting out blu's to save money because of the current "crisis" (this is not directed to ANYONE, but a general comment), then you are already SOL. Saving the 20 bux from the 4/5 blu's you purchase every month if that - will do nothing for you in the next few months. Lol. That's like putting away a penny a month to save for a trip in a couple years. Not feasible.

Living in fear does nothing for you or the economy.

The bad economy isn't affecting me at all. I have more to spend now than I ever had before. Times have never been better for me and my family.

I hope people use their money to pay down high interest debt rather than save it.

No debt? Then save for your retirement. Go and max out your 401k or IRA.

Yes, I am buying less DVD's. I make over 100,000 K a year, but I'm still not buying all the DVDs I want. It just doesn't make sense to spend money right now.

I'm buying less, but mostly because my self-allotted spending money has depleted as of late. Not directly a result of the economy.

I've decided to cut back since I have netflix I will use that more often. Although I did just get my hands on some of those Best Buy $10 off coupons so I will probably buy 5 more Blus this week and that will probably be it for the rest of the year, with the exception of 1 or 2 titles (Dark Knight being one of them)

the real answer is no, but I answered buying more, until this summer I was more or less good at sticking with my self imposed around 100$ limit for BDs (except when there where good sales) but with so many good BDs and collections coming out it has been real hard to stay close to 100$

This is not the time to cut back!!! Buy as many blu-rays as you can! Like I saud earlier, I purchased over 80 in the past few months and I look to purchase 30-40 more this holiday season. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Let's stop acting like the "common folk" we are trend setters, early adopters on the whole and we need to purchase as much as possible. I will get the 5000ES and I look forward to next year when the new trend in anamorphic lends takes form with second and third generations consumer units under 30K. We need to spend, spend, spend, spend!! It is all about BLU-I am a fanatic and will, if neccesary, drive the sales of my local BB in New Jersey to new levels. You people need to also throw caution to the wind--after all it is the American way!!! Spend baby spend!!

I have not slowed my buying of Blu-ray Disks, but I may slow a little as I sink more money into my new Photo Workshop business which will also afford me less free time.

i've always been selective on my blu's, i don't buy just to inflate my movie count. i buy b/c i want to get movies that i like and will watch over and over again. so, i've become more selective in a down economy.

Im buying less, but it really doesnt have anything to do with the economy. Im just trying to be a little more picky about the movies I own. Instead of buying everything single blu-ray that would come out like I used to, now I will only purchase the ones I know I will watch over and over and try and stick to the classic or higher quality films.
