Also in regard to the chroma up-sampeling, Panasonic chroma processing is excellent and if anything it would actually help the image performance if the brightness controls were used.

I have the KS9800, all Sony and all LG OLED 4K TVs and we have the UB900 connected to every one with no banding issue or macro blocking.

Sorry I don't post on the other forum so please pass this along so other interested folks know this information.

You can try and replicate the issue by setting:
4K(50p/60p) Output set at 4:4:4 50p/60p and color mode on Automatic(Ycbcr). Deep Color on Automatic.

So when viewing UHD Movies it will say 4K/24p HDR/BT.2020 YCbCr4:4:4/12bit on the output from pressing playback info on your remote.
The UB900 includes 4K high-precision chroma processing which can take the Ultra HD Blu-ray encoded at 4:2:0 and use a 4K high-precision multi-tap filter to process the signal to 4:4:4, some TV's are having an issue when it is doing this, banding issues (See pic) but other TVs have no problems.
