Wrong, Bungie loves Warlocks. That's the reason they never got nerfed for the longest time

An Exclusive Tour Of Destiny: Rise Of Iron's Archon's Forge

Quote:
We're continuing to roll out exclusive features detailing Bungie's upcoming Destiny: Rise of Iron. While visiting the studio for our September cover story, we sat down with world designer Dan Callan and world artist/level designer Alex May to take a deeper dive into a new PvE space called Archon's Forge. Found in the Plaguelands, Archon's Forge is an arena that draws similarities to both Prison of Elders and Court of Oryx, in which fireteams fight waves of dangerous Fallen to collect rewards. Callan and May lead viewers through the thought process of designing the space, its development history, and a few interesting details highlighting Fallen culture. If you like this detailed walkthrough of the space, be sure to investigate a similar tour of the Crucible map Vertigo from last year.

Check out the video below to see new gameplay from Destiny: Rise of Iron and get a tour of the mysterious Archon's Forge.

The problem with that is that you're supposed to kill each knight with the appropriate sword but it'd have to be from the quest not the strike

The door isn't opening because you ain't killing them quick enough, he had to kill them within 5 to 10 seconds, then he has to kill the guy who's shield can only be taken out by sword, then you have to go to the dark blade strike and kill the Knights that spawn save the knight who has the shield you need kill him then hurry up and finish off the dark blade.

I went into the patrol and got it to work by lowering each ones health to one shot status.

then I took 2 out w/my machine gun and the 3rd one w/a super.

must've not been doing it within the 10 second requirement.

just killed the boss guy.

I had a lot of Motes of Light and Spirit Bloom so I decided to apply it toward faction rep (FWC in this case). Hoping to get different gear to upgrade my light level, I upgraded the faction 3 levels, and I got 3 primaries, the last 2 being only 1 light higher than the previous . Flippin. Game . But on a positive note, I was at least able to get 2 other primaries significantly upgraded in light so now all 3 of the primaries I use the most are roughly the same light level. For now, of course.

Also, just short of 2 weeks back into this game, I've gone up 25 light from 292 on my Hunter. Although it has slowed down once I hit 310, that's still WAY better than the 0 light level increase over roughly the same time period before I quit almost a year ago. And that's also without having run the raid yet.

This game is fun again.

There are several things you should do after reaching the 310+ range. Challenge mode in PoE will give you an armor piece and a weapon per Sigil. It probably takes 20-30 minutes to run a Sigil. Also, the raid. You're high enough now that you should jump right in to the raid mode. You can get a significant LL increase from a single raid. Especially if you keep equipping each drop as you get them. The next drop will be higher, the next one even higher, etc.

Yeah, Robert has filled me in and has been inviting me to raid, but these days it's hard for me to commit during the week due to time. You east coast guys are going to bed by the time I finish my work day lol. I also started running PoE Challenge mode even before I hit 310. Robert has taken me through it, but we didn't get around to completing the max score on either of the last 2 weeks, mainly because of time on my part. I'm just taking things casually, and I'm honestly surprised - if not ecstatic - that I'm even continuing to level with randoms from PoE 41 and Court of Orix. That might be appeasing me for now, but I definitely do want to jump into the raid.

I'm not east coast but I'm closer to Mountain Time so if you look to raid let me know!

well I took a couple of hours but I finished the patrol portion of the exotic sword quest.

I didn't have a ghost that could detect spinmetal.....thankfully I was able to buy one from the crucible handler.

now next Wednesday I can get the materials Lord Shaxx had to order and then hopefully knock out the last mission right away.

then i'll have 2 fragments to find and i'll be done w/the year 2 moments of triumph.

Answering Destiny: Rise Of Iron's Lingering Questions

Quote:
We've had a lot of info to share about Destiny: Rise of Iron this month, as chronicled through our hub of dedicated articles, interviews, and videos. As we near the end of cover story-related coverage, we opened the floor to questions from the community, and then brought those questions directly to the lead developers. On this special edition of the podcast, Ben Hanson and Matt Miller are joined by Destiny: Rise of Iron's game director Chris Barrett and executive producer Scott Taylor to answer pages and pages of questions from fans. This episode is made for Destiny fans out there, so check it out (and share it with a friend) if you want to learn more about the origins of Exos, the potential for Destiny's universe to branch out to novels and comic books, and what Bungie thinks of No Man's Sky UI.

You can watch the video below, subscribe and listen to the audio on iTunes or Google Play, or listen to this episode on SoundCloud.

Announcing the Destiny: Rise Of Iron Cover Art Winners

Quote:
When we began our month-long cover story blowout for Destiny: Rise of Iron, one of the earliest things we announced was our first-ever cover art contest. We weren’t sure whether people would be interested in the idea, but we wanted to find a way to directly involve the enthusiastic Destiny community in our coverage. In response, we’ve been blown away by both the enthusiasm of the community and the remarkable artists who submitted work.

The idea is simple; submit a piece of original art in the theme of this month’s cover game, and the development team at Bungie will select three winners. Those winners receive their very own art immortalized as a Game Informer cover image, which we’re printing, framing, and having signed by members of the team at Bungie. In addition, the three winners each get a copy of Rise of Iron on their preferred system, along with a collection of Destiny merch goodies.

All of us at Game Informer were thrilled by the dozens of submissions we received, and in speaking with the Bungie team members who had the challenging job of whittling down to three winners, it’s clear that the developers were equally excited by what their fans had concocted. Submitted art appeared in any number of styles and forms, and served as a testament to the imagination of gamers and their interpretations of the Destiny universe.

Below, we’re highlighting the names and art pieces of our three winners. If your piece was selected, you can expect an email shortly regarding your win, and your prize package (including your framed and signed poster) will arrive in the coming weeks.

Here at Game Informer, we’ve also set aside several other submissions that caught our eye, and we couldn't help wanting to share more. We want the whole community to enjoy them, along with untouched versions of the three winners in the form they were originally sent. The second page of this article includes just some of our favorites.

Thank you to everyone who submitted artwork, and to the rest of the Game Informer and Destiny communities for your enthusiasm.

Winners are shown in alphabetical order. Scroll down to see them all and click on them for larger versions. Head over to page 2 to check out some of the other submissions we received.
