This could happen as well as a sequel announcement since it was rumoured 2 was pulled from sonys E3 due to the shooting that happened.

Kind of a cool thing, but I'll skip it. I just played and finished this for the first time last month. I'll just wait for the sequel. If it is even true it's being made.

A full remaster bundled with the sequel would be nice.

This game is really overhyped in my opinion. Most of the side missions are collecting herbs and animals. The rest is riding and horse and shooting people. The Guns are cool, but could be better.

I just don't think there's a sequel coming out cause there hasn't been any info on it. GTA 5 had more info leaked then this so called game.

It was the story telling and the soundtrack that got me on RDR. The Score and the songs and the timing of them with key moments throughout the game was just perfect.

We haven't had a single new game released from R* this gen. So if it's not RDRII then I don't know what is. They wouldn't have gone straight in to GTA6.

I doubt we would see a Bully sequel, or even an LA Noire.

The only real contender would be Agent, which has been MIA for almost 7 years. The only thing that's keeping my hope alive is that they renewed the trademarks for that game in January this year.

People all they have to do is say yeah it's coming out and I'll be happy with that but waiting and not knowing if it's really being worked on or real it just kills it for me.

The open world is great with a lot of the game play features, though I'll agree about the missions being a let down, as most of the time it was, as you said, riding/racing the horse to some location. I kept thinking there have got to be more creative missions in an open world style game. Thankfully there were some, but too far and few in between IMO. Too many horse racing/evading missions.

Rockstar doesn't announce a specific game till the game is getting near completion. They have a few studios but with big titles, tend to funnel all of the talent towards the big game. Rockstar San Diego was mainly in charge of RDR, but also Midnight Club Los Angeles.
If this thing about a Red Dead Redemption remaster for PS4 is accurate, we can expect a new Red Dead Redemption sequel in 2017.

Remembering how Fallout 4 was a big mystery with zero information from Bethesda, and then 4 months later it was in stores.

Huh? This game has had several "leaks". Its the basis for this thread and I think its definitely coming next year

I'm kinda doubting the remaster, because the next-gen GTA V was seemingly Rockstar's experiment with the new hardware so I gotta think Red Dead 2 must be building upon that. A new remaster of RDR would be stupid considering the 360 already has the game backwards compatible. Maybe they could do PS4 exclusive but still that would only piss off the Xbox fanbase and only delay the news of a sequel.

That shouldnt mean anything. PS4 does not have backwards compatibility so the Xbox (which has a far smaller install base) having it is no reason to not make a remaster. Not to mention PC never even got the original

Besides, Gears of War was added to the backwards compatibility list just before MS released the remaster. There is incentives to get upgraded versions

Bully needs a sequel set in a college environment Imo and the original needs to be completely remastered. The RDR remaster Imo would be more akin to GTA V coming to PS4

I think you are expecting too much on that front. We'd be luck to get one; the one that actually matters. I dont see them remastering Revolver bc A)its completely unrelated and not a Rockstar original title, B) relatively obscure and most importantly C) wasnt that good. Remastering it (I mean a good one) would likely require more work than its worth.
