I don't want to sound like I'm going on a old man rant, but this is just an observation I've made recently about a lot of kid's cartoons on now.
We've been chord cutters for a long time, but we do have Sling now with Cartoon Network, XD, and Boomerang, so my kids watch a fair amount of shows on there. Is it me or are many of the shows just weird for the sake of being weird? It's like we have a generation of animators who grew up on Ren and Stimpy and decided that the cartoons should be weird for no reason now. I enjoy Teen Titans Go, Rebels, and my wife has always loved the Powerpuff girls, but there seems to be a lot of nonsense on now. I'll be the first to admit I'm a man child, so I don't think it's just me getting old LOL. |
