Hey MisterXDTV,

After Penton posted a video about Kubo, I got to looking around the Dolby Site and found 2 titles that are not on the Wiki page yet. Care to add them?

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Sept. 30
Deepwater Horizon Sept. 30

I also just caught a trailer for Terence Malick's Voyage of Time, and there are Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision logos on the credits:

Thanks Puddy!

I also decided to update the first post of this thread with the complete list by year highlighting the titles already available in UHD BD with HDR.

Right now i can't add Voyage of Time because it's an IMAX exclusive for the time being. Basically it doesn't have a Dolby Cinema release date right now.....

Hopefully you'd have to update again when Dolby Vision finally comes to UHD BD.

Those are post-conversions/re-gradings

This topic is about movies released in Dolby Vision in Dolby Cinema theaters originally....

Hey MisterXDTV,

I know this is a list of Dolby Cinema releases. But the intent seems to be about listing movies graded for HDR at release and not remastered for UBD. So far, there are a couple more movies that weren't released in Dolby Cinema yet were graded for HDR by the filmmakers. And I'm sure there will be more in the future since Dolby Cinemas are so limited. Maybe you want to keep a sublist?

Then there’s Joy which is like a straight drama so the transfer doesn’t have anything that is really any different, there’s a consistency we have through the movie, there’s nothing that is a lot darker or brighter. It looks different as HDR as you’ve got 350 foot-lamberts and all that contrast, but it feels like rec709.

Not a bad idea Do we know if these two movies were graded in Dolby Vision HDR or HDR-10???

Thank you puddy!

I still don't get a why a popular movie/franchise like Jason Bourne wasn't released in DV theatrically, makes no sense to me...

No, I don't think so. I checked more than once around the web. Only a Standard DCP was released. It was not projected in Dolby Cinema

As to Jason Bourne, I know Goldcrest said HDR/Dolby Vision. So I imagine both. And for Joy, that quote from the interview with the colorist is the only time I've ever seen it mentioned. But he does mention 350 foot lamberts, which is about 1200 nits. And I know Fox has been mastering some of their UBDs around 1100 nits, so I assume he was talking about creating the HDR10 grade for the UBD.

Penton mentioned this Red Bull sports film called The Fourth Phase last week. The press release says it was mastered in Dolby Vision and Atmos. But I'm not sure if it will ever get a Dolby Cinema release. The screenings section of their website only shows special engagements. So this might be good for the 2nd list.

Voyage of Time Life's Journey is the non-IMAX feature length version narrated by Cate Blanchet and will be a Dolby Cinema release.

Yes, but it doesn't have a release date right now as far as I know

I would prefer to keep this list for feature films only, puddy, I don't think a Red Bull sports film qualifies

I wonder if we will see a slew of rerelease in DV in 2017...

The shorter 40 minute cut is the IMAX release (narrated by Brad Pitt) with a noted October 7th release date - oh I can't wait to see this
